Will the tire fit the wheel ?

Hey guys !

I got a e92 m3 lowered on H&R springs, I wanted to see if these tires:

255/40 R19(front) and 285/35 R19(rear)

will fit the VMR V710 wheel 8.5"(front) 10"(rear).

I know the tires are not the recommended size for the wheels but that's the tires I already have and wanted to see if it would still fit without giving me any issues.

Widthwise the rears are a perfect match, not sure about the 35 aspect ration though, the fronts might be a little to skinny to run a 255 i would say, and again the aspect ratio might be a little too high, so the tire might be too tall.

I think the aspect is just too high in general and that no VMR wheel could compensate for that on a dropped car. What do you think?

oh I see. So im guessing that the stock PS2's will fit this wheel and my car right?

Your stock tires would be a better option. That front 255/40R19 would mount to the wheel no problem, but would almost certainly rub. Even 255/35R19 is a little bit tight if the car is lowered. For the rear you have a bit more leeway.

+1 on a front with those dimensions I would run 245/35.

just to verify, I went with Dunlop SP winter sport 3d 235/35/19 and 255/35/19 and they will be going on to the VMR v710 19x8.5 and 19x10 on a lowered H&R spring M3. Should be ok with no rubbing right guys ?

what offset would you guys recommend to look flush or close to flush without rub.

255/35/19 is going to look S T R E T C H E D on a 10" wide wheel. I ran these exact sizes on my OEM 220s which are 8.5 and 9.5" wide, and that was already stretched.

I only have two choices right now for my VMR v710 19x8.5 19x10 (or I can get 19x9.5)

Dunlop SP winter sport 3D : 235/35/19 (F) 255/35/19 (R)

Blizzak lm-60 : 235/35/19 (F) 265/35/19 (R)

I can get the rear wheel in either 19x10 or 19x.9.5. I must get a wheel that can fit stock PS2's on it, so that I can switch when the weather gets warmer so keep that in mind. What would be my best wheel size and tire combo with no rubbing. Also let me know what the best offset I should get for the wheels as well. Thanks !

VMR's are available in limited offsets. If you want help with an offset choice please take the time to inform us of the the choices.

FYI it's not a good idea to switch tires 2x's per year on the same wheels. It ends up being more cost effective to have two sets of wheels. Frequent tire swaps deteriorate the tire sidewalls. Plus do the math... switching tires is $100 - $150 x (2) each year. I would keep your OEM wheels (which are far higher quality than VMR's) and buy a second set of wheels for winter. You can then sell them when you are done with them. Or buy a used set of wheels from a forum member.

my error on the second post, sorry !

the reason I needed to know was because my car is now lowered with H&R springs and some people are saying that 255/35 and 265-275/35 will rub.

offset are the following

Front : 20, 22, 25, 33, 35, 45
Rear : 20, 22, 25, 33, 35, 38, 45, 50

best combo with no rubbing. I would really appreciate it. Thanks !

if you want to keep the stock tire sizes, Id say keep the same dimensions with the VMRs as stock at 19x8.5 and 19x9.5
