Its mainly the absence of the turn signal/horn control assembly making it look longer. Also I use Renthal kevlar grips, which are about a half inch shorter than normal grips.

I just got a set of OURY grips for my Hypermotard. I like the soft, gooey rubber they're made of.

A ha! I had no idea. I just thought they were using some bizarre form of quantum mechanical calculations to figure out post count. It all makes sense now...

My apologies, everyone, for taking this off topic thread off topic. We may now resume our regularly scheduled discussion on motorcycles.

Just took a long weekend tour through WV. Cousin and uncle just got new S1000RR and GS1200 - got to ride both quite a bit. Both are fantastic bikes. RR was amazing to ride.. but it was good we were trading bikes during the day since the RR was hard to be one for 8 hours a day.
Here's a vid I made and some pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

^ Awesome. Those are some beautiful roads.
The R1200GS is currently my favorite bike; it must have been fun to put it through its paces. I bet the 1000DS felt better on those nice roads though.

^ thanks. 1200GS is a great bike for sure. I kept calling it the Cadillac on our trip. Suspension and riding position is comfortable, but you can still throw it around pretty good for sure a bigger bike.
Took a ride today. Beautiful weather. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not a bike picture but it happened at a track day. After a lot of convincing, the trackday coordinator used my 1 for the pace car. I didnt get to drive but it was fun none the less. Im also friends with the photographer, and he got some action pics for me which I am still waiting on. But for now here is an iPhone teaser pic....
