Extremely true........kind of reminds me of the N54 scene, you can run two 335's with similar bolt ons and race gas and the results will be different.....all dependent on how aggressively they are tuned! some of these e85 gtr's are ticking time bombs.....I know the one I raced blew up 3 weeks later

It also said he was at 20psi on 91 octane on a Cobb tune. Cobb off the shelf tunes are running 15psi. That car definitely can't be running 20psi on 91 octane. Furthermore, injectors and intake were not on that mod list and the the stock injectors would be far maxed out before reaching 20psi as well as the MAF on a stock intake........a little fishy, but nonetheless very impressive for the m3.

Making these GTR's look slow. Truly impressed by boosted M3's and unimpressed by these modded GTR's. What's the deal??

2013 trap 125 and ET range from 10.8-11.0. They have a revised launch control allowing for
better 60' and 15 more hp than 2012.

Many factors, like others mentioned... light weight of m's, SC'ed with supporting mods (meth, catless), auto tranny. Like somene mentioned before, in classic configuration of 6spd manual, the result may differ quite a bit (no matter how fast you think you can shift, and there is no flat shifting with SC)... I don't run meth, i'm a 6spd, and with smaller SC kit, results don't look the same... although i'm pretty sure I can give slightly modded GTR run for it's money in straight line. When I was at Spa, there was a stock 2011 gtr, and from low speed turns, he had a lot more torque down low and was able to catch up to me in those sections... but once again, i'm manual and can't do 2nd to 1st shifts at low speeds, plus traction would be an issue.

here is a vid from that... he was quite a bit behind me, but towards the end my brakes started to heat up, so I let him lead for a lap (I let him pass around 18:30).

very cool

it's obviously that 4 wheel drive will clearly benefit on the track, and the torque down low will definitely help out of corners. regardless, for the type of car i would personally want to drive on the street, it has been very hard to get out of the ///m. i hopped in a 2007 911 Turbo and while it was fast, it wasn't THAT fast, the tranny was a slushbox (no pdk until '09), and the interior was already starting to wear after only 14k. there's just something about these cars that emotionally grabs you and it's hard to break free.

Also, from my experience against GTR's I would agree - GTR's with those modifications can trap ~130+ in the 1/4, and I personally dont see a 6 speed off the shelf VF620 (no race gas, no meth, no DCT) pulling that hard on a car that traps that high - let alone be able to hand around from a 1st gear roll like you said. Looks more to me the M3 ran a stock 2012 Black Edition like many others have said on the other forums.

Nice run nonetheless!
This video is very misleading

I don't understand how the M pulled so hard. Especially it being MT.

My car is SUPERMAN JK...but the GTR wasn't pushing 20psi or he would of whooped me. Most likely 14-15lbs.

I have a VF-650 DCT car, and haven't had the oppurtunity to pull against any GT-R's yet, but I have driven them. And my, they are fast. If you truly pulled on him, I'm impressed. Interested to see the results when you race the E85 tuned GT-R...I don't think that one will go as well. Cheers.
