That's what I'm taking about. Track her pretty regularly (20+ per season) and don't think the SC route is for me and would love to keep her NA.

So would lots of other people. I don't think that would make sense for Dinan.

I have high hopes for the Evolve sc. I'm in the camp that thinks any of the intercooled systems are fine for the track.

I think that 90% of SC owner don't track their car "REGULARLY". I also think that the SC adds tremendous amounts of fun to the car, and increases daily drivability (added power and torque).

Unless you think you live on Mars, it would be hard to ingore the fact that SCing the E9x will shorten the lifespan of the engine. However, that being said, if you think about your daily commute, most of us are on WOT at most 5% of our drive. So, unless you track your car all the time, I think the fatigue factor is a very small issue.

I'm itching like crazy to feel the power of a SC E9x. Perhaps its for the good that I haven't experienced this yet, or I would be hooked.

Not enough profit vs cost and R&D I think. Just the block, head, and internals will run probably won't be too far away from $15k.

one of the biggest downsides is that you're not able to run against and with same-looking bmw's... instead you're running with gtr's and pcars lol

Engine reliability shouldn't be an issue with FI even when tracking when running low boost like 7 PSI anyways right?

Low boost with charge cooling? Without charge cooling? Meth injection?

I noticed your in Toronto and inquiring a lot about FI. You should stop by and I can give you the run down first hand on what the deal is.

Check your PM.

You know, you are allowed to run very low boost with an intercooler.

4-4.5 PSi intercooled gives an easy 520 crank HP. That's a good +100hp over stock.

Intake temps are incredibly low. Very little heat being produced by the compressor and virtually all of it being removed from the intercooler.

The biggest enemy of the engine is... HEAT.

Removing the primary CAT's is one of the most vital elements in reducing the stress on the engine.

Downward force on the pistons/rods/crank will be similar in this setup compared to a 4.6 stroker running the same power. 4.6 Dinan is quoted around 520 crank HP yes?

Part of the issue is no one offers an intercooled/low boost setup. I'm 100% sure you could get one if you asked.

is it because of the boost track being longer then the non inter-cooled iteration.

I had to come back to this thread, I ran 15-20 full track days with a supercharger pushing 12.5 psi. That;s double of what most of you will ever run. The car fucking was a train on the track, it ran cooler then a stock m3. Do it. Do it. Do it.
