Is this a comfort access key? Would love to get it if it were but my dealer told me ca keys need to be ordered from the factory with your Vin and proof of ownership.

Yes it is! I believe they just want proof before ordering, it's not programmed to the car in anyway, they told me I had to bring the car to program it and the key can work on any BMW.
