Hey all,

relatively new to this forum and to my car (Had it for about 2 weeks) and looking into a couple different sizing options.

For the most part I've realized that slim to none of you guys run 18's, particularly because they look rather small *Short of the IND e92 which is running 315/30's on 18'' TE-s.

How wide are you guys taking the 19's? Anyone running an 11'' front and 13 rear? wishful thinking? also how low of an offset are you guys running? From my reading on the forum i see a big majority of people are running 19x10+22 or somewhere in that range.

Just as a reference point, i've been running

18x10+15/18x11.5+4 on my old e46M, not looking for something nuts on my e92 but definitely something decently wide that still tucks under the car's arches

13" wide is a little ridic IMO; I run a 9.5 front and 11 rear but have a sedan. I could see 295 on the rear w/ no issues on my 19s

well plenty of e46M's were running 12" with low offsets, the e92 being much bigger I figured it isn't too far fetched

Im ok with flush, but stretch and poke is gehtto if you ask me.

My rims and tires are 100% flush.

I have had 18's, 19's, and 20's. Lots of folks running 18's which look best when running coil-overs. I personally like the track look of the 18's best. As far as sizing.... 10" in the front is the widest I would run and it will require significant negative camber (Nothing new to you judging by your picture). 12" is the widest I have seen anyone run in the rear but I wouldn't go wider than 11". I don't like the stretched look with tons of camber so I think 9.5" is perfect for the front.

10.5 on race suspension is the biggest I have seen in the front. 12s in the rear have to be really dialed in, custom, to get it to fit.

I have 305s in the back on 18x11 and could not fit another inch. I have trimmed some plastic too.

I am one that believes that stretch/poke depends on the car, the e92 being so big in comparison to its previous model is a definite no no for Poke. I have yet to see an e92 with poke that I like, do you have pics of your set up?

This goes back to the ability to enjoy the car, i'll be honest, it's fun driving a quarter inch off the ground in FL because the roads are straight and boring, but I regretted being set up like this when it came for road trips, I want to drive the car, so a set up like my e46 is impractical

If you want sizing that works without stretch and poke (which provides zero performance benefit as I'm sure you know) then I would recommend:

18 (or 19) x 9.5 et 22 front with 265 or 275 mm tires

Rear options:

19 x 10.5 et 27 rear with 295/30 tires (any lower offset will rub on 295's)

18 x 10.5 et 22 rear with 285/35 tires

18 x 11 et 27 or 30 with 295/35 tires - if you can find them...

That's interesting, I appreciate the info, now I ask you (since you seem to have it down packed) how similar are E90Ms to E92Ms fitment wise? (Im sure the fronts are the same, but what about the rears?)

Plenty of e9x M3 owners run our 18" wheels, especially on track. Here are a couple examples, including our new EC-7s in 18x11" ET25.

They are the same. There may be slight variations from car to car but sedan vs coupe in the M3 is not know to be significantly different.

Thanks for the pics Dave, my only real concern, tbh, is that all those wheels are monoblocks, where i'd be looking to get a step lip 3 piece wheel, so a 16/17 inch face might look tiny on these bigger cars. (Which is a big reason i think TE-37's don't look half bad on these cars in 18's)

Here is what mine looked like with a 20" step lip (maybe you saw it). Not really a "poke" but about as aggressive as you will find on here:

Wow dude, that looks amazing! My only gripe with 20's is that it's hard to get as low on 20's as it is on 19's *For obvious reasons* but that is mindblowing.

Any specs on that? particularly looking for et's and seeing how those translate to 19's

From my experience the E9x model wont go as low as the E46 no matter what you do.

On those photos we had to heat the front springs and cut the rears as no coils will go that low. Thats why looking through pics you wont find any/many as low as this

I run 18" wheels on my e92 M3s. The majority of forum members that track their cars run 18" wheels due to the greater number of track tire options. Personally, I prefer the look of the e92 M3 with 18" wheels!

I'm running a staggered 9.5/10 setup but I've seen people "functionally" run 10" (275/285 tire) F and 11" (295/305 tire) R wheels. Depending on the car, you may or my not get rubbing as you turn the wheels/tires on the F inner fender liner - appears to be a large manufacturing tolerance when it comes to fender liner placement!

I am running 285/30/18 on 18x10 et25. I have no major rubbing that I know of at this point, but the fitment is pretty tight. The R-Comp R888s are a little wider than a normal street tire, so I am basically running one of the widest setups in the front. If you plan to run street tires, it has got to fit!

Also consider that I do only run this setup in the summer or for track/autocross. I would definitely recommend a DROP with 285/30; there is a ton of wheel gap, but its great for grip. Much more grip than the shaved 275/35/18 RA1's I used to run.
