The shaft on the rear shocks on the Non EDC setup is a little smaller, you would need to change the rear shock mount to the non EDC version. The front is the same.

Kevin, thank you would you be able to provide me with some pictures or images of what it looks like?

Elaborate please. There is no difference between aftermarket EDC and non-EDC shocks except for the top stem.

I hope the pictures didn't confuse you. The non-EDC was a 3-way. The EDC shock was a 2-way. I was only trying to show you the difference between the stems.

The question is will it work, and is the shock mount all that needs to be replaced?

Just the shaft size at the top of the shock, OEM or KW is different edc and non edc Mark. So the factory top mount has a different ID depending on which you have.

yes, and you can get them from BMW directly. All you have to do is look up the top mount for a non edc car and swap them on. that easy

Yes the EDC code can be coded out or you could buy the MS EDC code suppressor or buy someone's KW EDC code kit.

On 2011 and later E9x M3 the EDC light will remain on for about 15 seconds after engine start, then go away. Earlier cars tend to remain on.

We have been able to coded out with Autologic, but have yet to try it with BT Tool.
