Good thing she is your ex. I would have to say that is the most amazing drive to do in an M3. Sorry you had to go so slow. I did it with my wife in my previous M5 about 3 years ago and my we had the best time ever. We made it from SF to Hearst Castle in 4 hours, which does not seem quick, but if you really look at the length and what is involved, that is quick.

Yeah. I have to make it up there again. Took me 12 hr+ to get from sf to newport...

Wow, good time. I just drove that route this weekend in a rental SUV and it took about 3-4 hours from Hearst Castle to Monterrey with scenic stops along the way. I still had fun in an SUV, would love to do it proper with a fast car.

Awesome video! Loved the reactions from the Mrs. and this is why the wife refuses to go on track with me. She once got a ride in an E30 M3 with an instructor and after that said she would never get in the car with ME to do that
