Spoke to James at Megan and he told me that delivery should be in by the third week of November. I gave him my name and phone number to call me when he receives shipment. Hopefully there is no more delays as I am waiting to install my Turner test pipe at the same time.

I know this is for a sedan, but I just installed mine today for an E92, and IMO, it should be how the E92 sounds stock. I have the stock x-pipe on it, and the axle-back Megan Exhaust, and am loving it.

Has any grown tired of there megan exhaust? The ugly tips and drone in 7th between 2-3K are starting to get to me. I just cant seem to find an exhaust that sounds similar other than the Eisenmann Race, which from what I can tell is super loud. I love the way the megan sounds. Im just sick of the tips and drone.

Anyways, has anyone dumped there megan for another exhaust that sounds similar? IF so... what did you get?

No one who had a megan exhaust upgraded and or changed it up? Im sick of my megan. I want a new exhaust that sounds deep, has less drone than the megan and in a perfect world sounded like the Eisenmann race, but wasnt nearly as loud. The Eisenmann sport just seems WAY to quiet or else I would go that route.

Eisenmann needs to make and exhaust between the sport and race.

Anyone have any suggestions.

PS: Dinan, performance exhaust, akrapovic... are not for me. To quite.

I don't have drone, do you have a non-stock X-pipe also?

Most exhausts drone a tad, the Corsa seemed to sound really clean with very little or no drone. I personally don't find the drone in my car that bad with the Turner Test Pipes and Megan catback. I have given several people a ride in my car and they felt the same way. Is there some drone? Yes but to me its is quite minimal. After having a few Mustangs with Flowmasters, the drone with the Megan is childs play compared to this.

The Megan has a nice growl and howl with the TTPs, I actually wish they were a touch more aggressive. What I find amazing with the Megan is that they actually get better sounding and more aggressive when the exhaust is to temp. When cold can be a touch raspy and kind of thin. However, I can't imagine a better way to spend money on an exhaust setup than a set of TTPs (or equivlent) and the Megan cat back...I mean you shell out less than a Gnote and it doesn't get much better. The tips are completely personal preference. I they as nice as a set of Eisi Race tips? No, but then nothing is. I am not all that impressed with the Eisenmann build quality. I know several people who had to get brackets re-welded on, including my own on my E46 M3, not once but twice. Second time I just took it to a muffler shop who re-welded it and I sold it.

I would look into Borla aggressive, or even the ATAK. No drone and in the ATAKs case quite loud though. Borderline even the full OEM midpipe, I think with a set of TTPs or no cats it could be quite loud.

Thanks guys. I guess I just want to change it up. The sound of it is fine. It's just the slight drone (I agree it is very minimal) and tips that are bugging me. To be honest, it's the tips that bug me the most. I'll check out the borla and see what I think.

Thanks again for the suggestions . If anyone else has some thoughts, feel free to share them. : )

You have drone. 2-2800 in. 6th or 7th (if dct) under light load. The cab will drone. It's very minimal but it's there.

I'm on a stock x pipe.

Hey guys,

I got a pulley at EAS today. I also got a before and after dyno. My only mods are the megan exhaust and a AFE dry drop in filter. The first two runs were with those two mods only. The last two runs were with the MS pulley added. Total difference of 16.99HP if Im reading it correctly. I think 100% stock M3s run 330-350. If thats true, then the megan isnt HURTING power (I was worried it might be, being its so cheap...lol) Im not saying the megan is making power, but I think its safe to say its not taking any away. By the way, the pulley totally lowered the highway drone! I dont understand why or how it did, but its like 30% less than it was before. Im pretty happy.
