Some folks are using the term "matte" incorrectly - there is matte-finish and there is satin-finish (and I'm sure others). BMW's frozen paint colors are much more of a satin-finish where the gloss is dulled to reduce the shine.

I'm picking up my Frozen Brilliant White M3 coupe on Friday and will post pics asap. You'll notice that the color is more of a satin-finish pearl white.

Some will love it and some will hate (the latter will not be my friends and allowed in my treehouse).

In my case... im the only Matte blue metallic M3 in the tri-state area (as far as im concerned at least)... So it works GREAT for me.

only seen very few cars that can pull off matte. Most of them just look like they're trying to hard to be seen. Look like ghetto primer imo

You guys are both right. The original SN95 (1996 only) Cobra was just mystic. The Terminator (2004 only) Cobra was Mystichrome.

For the sake of the thread, I am not a fan of frozen or matte colors. It looks like someone bought a rattle can and painted the car.

+ 1 to you my friend... I really like yours in particular but i'm in line with the other comments about whether a car can pull it off of not.. In many cases a matte really dumbs down the cars overall wow factor to me.. Ironically, I do notice matte paint schemes more and they do stand out but for the wrong reasons sometimes.. I think universally I'd rather have a nice clear coat finish with the exception like Ohh_5HIT's car where it seems to look unique and works well IMO.

I hear you on that! I have the same sentiments. This is the ONLY matte color i went crazy for... really grew out of liking black/white/orange/grey, etc. The few matte colors that come in metallic are the best because they actually enhance the lines on the cars when the light hits. Pics don't really do justice... you have to see it in person to appreciate the way it looks
