Airstrip Attack - 1/2 Mile Side by Side. Registration opened today!

There were a ton of M-cars present at the last event and hope to see more around this time as well...

What: ½ Mile Side by Side Racing Event.

When: November 10th and 11th.

Where: The New Coalinga Municipal Airport. 27500 West Phelps. Coalinga, CA.

Shift-S3ctor is proud to announce that our next Airstrip Attack is a 2 day event, November 10th and 11th at the New Coalinga Municipal Airport in Central California (3 hours north of LA, 2 hours south of the Bay area). This will be a 1/2 mile, side by side racing event. Registration opens on September 10th at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time. We are limiting this event to 100 cars per day and expect to sell out quickly. Once we are full, registration will close and we will begin a wait list.

Duke, don't sweat it, there will be plenty of cars you can run, it would be great to get some racing vids of you M3!

Duke, look on the site. There are tons of cars in your range already. 500-600hp GTR's, m3's, 335's, 996's, 997's, corvettes, etc.

There will be PLENTY in your range, you will have a blast, an event like this is for guys just like you and me, enthusiasts who are finally able to see what their modded car can do in a safe enviroment and hit speeds we can't elsewhere.

how are the runs done? Accelerate to a pre-set speed (35mph?) and go full throttle @ a set of cones?

Exactly. The speed is whatever you and your adversary agree on. Hit first set of cones, accelerate flat out until the next set of cones....1/2 mile away.

What to bring:

All you need to bring is a helmet (Snell 2000+) and a completely filled out and signed waiver/self tech form
