OK. Just to be clear:

1. The hybrid and race plates are not compatible with stock E9x M3 struts and springs. The plates will work with selective aftermarket struts using race springs.

2. GC does make a hybrid plate option for E9x M3 (this is what I have), but it is not listed on their site. Look at the hybrid plate for E36 as a reference.

3. On GC's web site, there is a product called "BMW E90 Street Camber Plates", and it has "stock" spring as a choice. http://www.ground-control-store.com/...ion.php/II=842

This is why I thought that it was compatible with stock E9x M3 stock strut and springs. But per people's info above, looks like it will not work with E9x M3 struts and springs. Perhaps only with regular 3ers?

I finally installed my camber plates last week. After 30 miles of city driving I noticed that the main bearing retaining ring has already deformed (bent upward)... Is this normal?

That doesn't sound normal to me. I'd give jay a call 1st thing next week. It seems that anything that touches the motons end up jinxed.

Me too, but at least my last alignment was done when I removed the Motons once and for all.
Good luck making everything work.

I received a pair of replacement lower plates to address the retaining ring issue... except that they were machined TOO BIG for the old upper plates!!!

Update: I received another set of plates and installed them over the weekend. So far everything appears to be working as designed. Hope they will stay that way for a while.

GC provided me with great and responsive customer service during this process (Jay and Frankie), but they really need to improve their procurement/manufacturing/shipping process. I was sent two pairs of mismatched Eibach springs in addition to the problems with my camber plates.

I hope they will learn from the hundreds of dollars they spent on overnighting me various parts.

1) Adjustable camber plates for the stock suspension with stock springs are not available and you would not want them since they would raise the front end significantly (per email from Jay 2 months ago).
Since its a relatively new thread and it may not be off topic. I will be purchasing a set of GC EDC Stock suspended car Camber Plates.

Bimmerworld lists them as:

Ground Control Street Adjustable Camber Plates
Select Model: E9X M3, 1M; Select Spring: Stock Type (Strut Brand & Model*: FOR EDC CAR.)

Now can anyone confirm if it will RAISE the front end significantly as stated above? If so, I would need to find a solution to procure a set of aftermarket springs. I want to do this job once than to install, figure out the front end is higher then purchase springs and E36 M3 bump stops.

My impression was that the kit was identical to height as the stock spring hats meaning no reduction/increase in ride height.

Cheers,

Lutfy

I can answer this now, and there are stock suspension M3 adjustable camber plates listed on the GC web-site. I have their stock suspension street, adjustable camber plates. They have no effect on ride height, suspension noise or suspension travel. Some have had trouble with the studs and how they are welded into the base plate. I've had no trouble with mine and have been very satisfied.
