I've not used one, but I've read that the 100-400mm is a good bit slower at 400mm and f/5.6 than either the 400/5.6L prime or the 400, 500 and 600mm primes. That could be part of the problem. Practice is also key. I'm way, way better focusing super-teles than I was three-years ago.

Take a static image of some printed material posted to a wall to check you AF calibration at 400mm.

Yeah. Actually, I am considering buying FoCal. I heard it's awesome for accurately and easily doing MFA.

Grabbed this quick shot of our new F10 M5 the other day, pretty happy with how it came out.

Looks awesome to me. Love the reflections on the car and the crispness of the shot. Sweet!

Not sure what level of brightness you're going for it certainly doesn't look underexposed to me.

Edit: Oh and love the car, too

That is such a cool shot, panicos.

Why is he driving around with a tow loop on his bumper?

Because it's a fashion statement.... or he tracks his car. But, it's probablt the former.

I guess I really don't understand fashion. That tow hook says to me that the driver thinks his car is a lemon and needs to be towed so often he just leaves the hook there.

Panicos,
I can see that on the cover of the E46 sales brochure. Congratulations.
