Question for the people that got the tune already, are you guys getting 2 files from Evolve? One stock 231E and one tuned 231E?
Yes. You will receive 2 files. First you need to install the software only. After that, check for codes (if any jot them down to send over to the guys at Evolve). Then install the other file which will be your actual tune. After its done, same thing...check for codes. (should all be explained in the emails also)

My car pulled up no codes for either upload. I will check again soon as it says to check after 20 miles or so just to confirm no codes popped up after.

I do have to say though..i DEFINITELY feel the difference! I installed them today and tonight i went out for a cruise and there is definitely a noticeable difference. I remember seeing a thread about someone also getting more performance from the updated software (that made me happy when i found out i still had the old software haha) not sure if its a mix of both the new software and tune, but myself, along with a buddy who rode in the car with me last week and again tonight, can both feel the difference.

If i recall...i remember reading that Evolve said that it may take up to a week or so for the car to actually get up to pair with the new tune. So i was actually surprised that i felt the difference this quickly. I wouldn't mind some extra power though if some more is still hiding in there waiting to come out

can anyone help !!

hi guys

am having some work done to my E93 m3
changing the wheels from stock (19") to 20" and having eibach lowering springs installed

the company conducting the work are recommending the following tyres:
245/30/20 front
285/30/20 rear
to prevent any rubbing issues

i wanted to have:
255/30/20 front
285/30/20 rear

up sizeing the fronts, as the rears are being up sized

the company has told me that my choice of tyres may cause rubbing issues, front on full lock and rears may rubb too

has anyone put any of the above tyres sizes combinations on there car.

good news. bad news, any feed back or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

thanks alot

I'm having a problem with 231 file. My PC won't read it. it is getting to be a bit frustrating.
It's an org.zip file. I can't find any software on the market that will read this file.

It is a standard Windows zipped file. Have you tried Winzip?

That's odd. It is really just a standard ZIP file. Trying right clicking on the file and "Open With"

I had no problems with my 231E file. Goodluck!

yes, and it keeps telling me that it's a "movie clip" type of file. And that Window cannot open it. I'm just getting really agitated.
Are you sure you sent me the right type of file?

Yes that is what mine also looked like. I got it to work fine though. Did you try right clicking the file and clicking "extract all"? (something along the lines of that)

Is the Movie Clip for the ".mod"?

If so, you only open that when you use the Evolve-R software.

If you are referring the 231____orig.zip, try right-clicking, and unzip.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and I'll get back to you later tonight. Chances are the good guys at Evolve are off work because of the time difference.

Well, the "engine check light" came on. And it says to service car soon. Though, I ran the diagnostic after driving the car, it had no fault code.
Now to program the car with the tune.

That will go away in 15-25miles. After driving that much, just shut off the car and start it up, it should go away.

Read the ecu and sent the file to Evolve. Got a question for the people that did the flash already. During the read, it looks like my car went to sleep and the read was still able to continue and finish. I was wondering on the write, is it going to be the same thing where the car can go back to sleep while the write continue or I MUST not let the car go back to sleep on the write? Thanks in advance.

Writing is incredibly fast. If I recall, less than 5 minutes.

I would recommend that you turn off your angel eyes, all lights, radio, AC, etc to avoid any drainage of the battery.

Depending on the condition of your battery, it would be recommend to hook it up to a tender or trickle charger.

I personally didn't do that knowing that my battery is still fairly new, so I flashed it fairly quickly without a problem.

Goodluck!

^Thanks for the quick reply. That's exactly what I did on the read, I turned everything off and closed the door also. Car went to sleep after a while still, that's what I worried about. But if the write is that fast, then I have nothing to be concern of. Can't wait!

Amazingly fast service from Evolve. Sent my file out last night and a few hours later, got my tune. And this was Saturday night!
