That CF CAI was really cool. But when they told us the price... ~ €2,800(I think?) I was shocked!! They told us it's based in part off of the Alpina B3 airbox for the N54. And... Alpina's unit aint't cheap either! (made out of ABS plastic)

I visit a dealer i Luxemburg a few years ago.
they had an E46 CSL converted with the V8 M5 engine and used it on Nürenburg Ring.
It was not a perfect match. That combination gave a nose-heavy car that did not have the best handling on the track.
I cant remember the weight of the S85 engine, but I think it's a bit heavier than the V8 M5 engine.....

Actually the S85's weight is only marginally heavier.

/EDIT/ Only a couple pounds (1kg) heavier.

A few of us did. I how ever did not, I was too busy taking pics and talking to the Manhart crew. Rudi and Rick and I think Justin - did drive their 1M though.

And then Manhart drove Justin's FBO 135i with meth. They had never heard of meth! And it opened their eyes! to tuning the American way!
