Just gone through the classifieds section. Wow! I didn't know there were a lot of e90 M3's for sale here. To DCT or not to DCT, that is the question. |

I actually have not tried/driven an e9x M3 with the DCT. The same thing applies to the SMG. I've been a manual guy ever since highschool.
Drove a friend's e92 m3 (6 speed) and boy, it was fast. I have been reading about the DCT and you could actually do a step down method of downshifting. That got me curious. I'll try to go for a DCT test drive sometime this week. |

Welcome. Go with 6m if you are not planning to track much. Its far better to be engaged with the car. DCT is no doubt faster and amazing but it is basically an automatic at the end of the day. Good call on the sedan also!!

Good luck with your search, but don'e spend too much of your time looking for a 2012 E90 M3, production for the E90 ended with model year 2011. I have a 6MT, but man when I watch DCT videos I do get a little jealous... haha...

Yup! Just want to try the DCT to see how it feels like coz I have NEVER driven one before.
