Don't think of it as rain. Think of it as flame suppressant.

Right now I have my r-comps on the front and my PSS's on the rear - just waiting to see which way the weather turn to which tires I have to swap.

( On the contrary, she may ask why the cars are so slow.... )

She did say can this car go any faster??? hehe

umm no. it was damp the first session, and some spots was almost like driving on ice (street tires and full traction)

things dried out and was sunny till about 5pm when it rained again.

overall a fun day!

Thanks to each and everyone of you that attended. This event turned out to be the largest one to date with 44 cars. I hope everyone had a great time. For all of the first time drivers I hope you learned something about your driving skills and your car's capability. The occasional rain shower made for some added fun. As these events keep growing we will have to make some hard decision on how to run them. Just some food for thought......we could expand it and make it an all day DE style event or we can continue to keep it a small half day event with a cap of 45 cars. I believe our attraction has been the small informal format. Of course the trash talking leading up to the event has become our trademark. Again, many thanks to all of you. James, I don't know how all of this stayed together but it did. Thanks for your money management skills and keeping it together. And one quick shout out to Richard......thanks for all the hard work you've put into this crazy idea I had last year. Your efforts were saluted yesterday with all the smiling faces on the track. Enjoy Chi-Town and keep your instructor badge handy......you're going to need it soon ................Phil

As one of the first timers, it was a blast not only to drive on the track but to have first rate instruction (thanks Alex!) show me the smooth lines and to demonstrate for me what my car was capable of doing. And the ride in the spec miata was icing on the cake. Thanks to Phil, James, Richard, and the instructors and sponsors who put together a first class event! Count me in for the next one.
