Yep, something's should just be ignored. Enjoy what you got and let the others believe what they want. It's really a "to each his own" type thing anyways...

OMG this thread just made me realize the huge mistake I just made by buying a slow-ass M3 and turning in my leased FBO/meth n54 335.

This is why my next car will definitely be the CTS-V...so I can walk all over you M3 and 335i guys in a straight line and then crash into a ditch trying to make a right hand turn. But beating you losers will be so worth it.

Don't be bothered by those. It will just never end. I got asked once to see if my m3 could be faster than my 65yr old neighbor's 1999 maxima. He said to me one time "your car looks fast but mine's got a V6, and how many horses are you running at?" I didn't know how I answer that question lol.

So M3 owners are so righteous? Why do I always hear from M3 owners going "my supercharged M3 beats your $xxxxxx Ferrari..."

Very few of us have superchargers and those who do I agree would fall in the same category if they say that. It's annoying to me on any level. I didn't buy my car for the 0-60 time.

The 335 guys remind me of a similar thing that happens on the road cyclist forums; some guy will gloat about "dropping" somebody he randomly encountered on one of his bike rides, but the other rider may have not even been aware they were "racing."

Unless you're both on a proper track and have called it "on," it's not a race, and you don't know who's the better driver. Not that I've ever tried that, so what the hell do I know.

I just want to get this out there.

So what if your MODDED 335I might be faster in a straight line? You think if we can afford our M3s that we couldn't get a 335I or something even faster in a straight if we wanted to? Maybe we wanted our M3s cause it has one of the BEST N/A V8s out there, laps tracks faster, handles better, brakes better, steers better, looks better, SOUNDS 10x better and has a superior transmission DCT & 6MT then your 335I. So thanks for keeping us informed that you car might be faster then ours.

END RANT
I'll just leave this here...

And yet, some will do just that.

moved from a FBO 335 to an M3 about a year ago. Yeah it was fast and all but was a frequent visitor at the dealership for BS problems. I'm a member of a BMW group here in Houston - most of them are 335s - some M3s. Pretty much see them complaining about cars breaking down left and right.

Yea so what your fully modded 3series can beat my stock m3? Let me mod the piss out of my car and level the playing field.

This shit used to bother me too. Just let it go.

Umm...why does the myth get perpetuated that American cars still cannot handle well? The CTS-V is no slouch in the handling department and neither is the Mustang. Every few months tho, someone makes a comment that they are only good in straight lines...

Come on guys, we're on the same team!

I personally own both cars & the 335 has traits I wish the M3 had and vice versa. They're both great cars but anyone bickering about one being better than the other needs to grow up a bit.
