Video: How Not to End a Spirited Drive in an E46 M3

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I realize this is an e46, but I think the lesson is still applicable to all of us.

Quote:
Raw footage, includes slowmo of crash
Location: South Mountain Park, Phoenix, AZ

Driver Description: (19yr old driving E46 M3)
"Well it happened at South Mountain park in Phoenix AZ. One of my buddies and I were out just having fun and driving until I came up on a deceptive corner, misjudged it and it happened. No injuries. The car was a total loss. Misjudgment of the road caused the accident."

When one wants a cabriolet, is there really any other choice than an M3? No. No, there's not.

Look how far off his shoulders were from the seatback. Gangsta lean.

I'm impressed that GoPro held on.

He apparently didn't know the road well enough. The road was bending with a bump, his front tires became unloaded and he couldn't steer...

I'm glad he's safe. We've all done stupid stuff in cars, especially at the driver's age, but that was clearly driving stupid. Perfect example of why canyon roads are differant than a track.

When the road goes left the car should also go left.

Didn't even look like he was trying to make the turn. He has the wheel slightly turned going into the bend, then he straightens out as he begins to head off the road. WTF?

or not give a ~16 year old a 333 horsepower sports car that isn't mature enough to respect it's capabilities, or can't drive for that matter?

In before all the younger owners on here get offended.
