Best way to tell if an M3 is a ZCP?

What's the best way to tell if an M3 is a ZCP? If an M3 no longer has the ZCP wheels, how would you know for sure? I understand that the stock ride height is almost the same. Are there any easy ways to tell?

Just run a check on the vin, any dealer can do it for you and print the original sales sheet.

Wink

Look for the Civic badge...if it is there, it is not a ZCP.

There is no clear visible way to tell if a car has ZCP other than a VIN check with BMW. The presence of ZCP/359M wheels or a lowered ride height doesn't confirm that the car has ZCP for obvious reasons.

It's so obvious! Check the lap times during a track day! ZCP is significantly faster than the non-ZCP versions...

Aside from the previous ideas including looking for the Honda badge, what year is the car? Don't think the competition package was available until MY2011 here in the US, which started in March 2010. If the car is a MY2010 or earlier it won't have the competition package...

Err no, EDC button has always been next to the gear shift. There is no visual way of telling whether an LCI M3 has ZCP with 100% certainty. VIN check is the only reliable way.

Is it faster than other regular M3s? Does it look better? Does it handle better? 50 more whp? Hot chick riding in the passenger seat? Nicer wheels? Owner with high IQ?
There... Too easy to tell ZCP from the riff raff.

Previous owner never watches Top Gear? Wears 7 brand jeans because anything less just doesn't make sense? You found a secret list of "kills" in the glove box, proving superiority?

Probably ZCP ;-)

The owner is a ZCP M3 will typically look very serious when driving, because only serious drivers get ZCP M3s.

But non-ZCP doesn't have EDC button altogether, right? #confused#

In Canada yes, in US no. EDC comes with ZCP only in Canada, but US buyers can have EDC option without having ZCP.

I'm sorry, that is not true at all. EDC is certainly part of the ZCP, but it has always been, and still is, a stand-alone option in Canada.
