What about matte red or matte white? I'm trying to get two members on here to wrap their cars matte white or red. After that we will get license plates that say "U", "S", and "A" ....and then have a photoshoot to make M3Posters jealous.

I really wanted to do matte LSB or matte mcb. Matte fire orange might be the route, we'll see. Great choice, you beat me to it. I wanted to do it in November prior the winter...

What brand wrap are you using? And any tips to wrapping the front bumper and rear bumper? The reason I ask is we are about to do a friends car.

Looks pretty good but I think serious drivers need alot better suspension set up by the looks of it, then a set of wheels and your golden. Good work on the wrap btw

I'm using 3M. It's the easiest to work with in my opinion.

These are the most important things when vinyl wrapping in my experience:

Use a felt squegee
Use a heat gun, not a hair dryer
Heat up the vinyl to strech but before stretching you'll want to wait 2-3 seconds for it to cool down to avoid discoloration
Stretch it slowly
Buy extra vinyl in case you mess up. (I was driving around in a half wrapped car during my last wrap because I had to wait for the vinyl to come)
And most importantly
TAKE YOUR TIME. If you rush, you will get wrinkles in the vinyl.

I have been considering getting this done to my E90 (same color) so I'm glad someone else went for it first.

Here's a close up. I'll get nice photos when I'm done with the car. As you can tell, I am now working on the bird crap mod which is known for adding additional aerodynamics to the car.

I ordered a bunch of vinyl samples from 3M and the vinyl colors that look the most like matte paint is Matte Dark Gray, Matte Blue Metallic, and Satin Black,

Great choice in color OP... you'll see how much more attention you'll get now (if you haven't already started)... I can't keep people off my car out here... it almost gets annoying at times cuz everyone wants to touch it and leave finger prints

I spent like 600-700 for the vinyl and supplies like the squeegee and heat gun. I didn't cry but there were tears coming from my eyes because of I think the smell of the vinyl. I AM A MAN, I DO NOT CRY. And yes people touch it and ask me a bunch of questions about it. Just the other day some guy asked me what car it was and I told him it's an M3 and then he asked me if what models M3 makes.........
