+1

It can look good or bad in pictures, but it does have presence in real life!

You just got yourself a ticket... but no, I just call folks out on their BS, anybody who says that speed limits don't apply to them because they have superior skill, or a superior car is pretty full of themselves.

Well, I doubt you can justify 140 MPH but certainly when the 55/65 limits were established the cars were absolute garbage. The speed limits are set for the lowest common denominator. No doubt you have come across some downright scary drivers and unsafe vehicles doing 65.

The reality is that it's quite safe for a modern car and decent driver to exceed 65 despite what some agencies would lead you to believe.

Yes, but this is assuming you don't share the road with others, who might not be such great drivers and have inferior cars. I grew up in Germany and lived there for 25 years, you can have the best car in the world and be the best driver and you'll still could come across a situation that will f@ck you up. When the wall came down we had a surge of really shitty cars on the Autobahn, and they would pull out to overtake a truck going 40mph, and me coming up on them going 160+ mph... these situations arise if you share the road.

That's why you always have to be aware of what's around you: ahead and behind. Always assume the car in the next lane is a moron.

I don't have a big problem with people pushing well beyond the speed limit. Just don't do it in traffic or with passengers.

I personally can't stand it when I get a ticket going 85 and the 19 giant SUV's surrounding me are doing 82.

Yeah that bugs me too. Pretty hard to go too fast for conditions in an m3. Compared to some beater who has the pedal on the floor to get it to go 65 and its ready to fall into pieces. Practice based liscensing should be allowed. Better drivers proven by testing get extra right!

I love the rest of the GT-R's shape but not the front end.
I feel the same way about the new Audi RS5. It has one BIG GIANT grill that makes the front end look hideous, IMO, but the rest of the car is fantastic.
The GT-R's performance can't be denied. It's a monster

Been there! 1991 trip from Frankfurt to Berlin, I almost ran up a Trabbi's ass on the Autobahn! I only had a VW GTI back then. Can totally relate.

Yeah, they had no sense of speed... they couldn't gauge it at all how fast I'd be coming up behind them. The second and third year after being reunited with the east was even scarier, because by then many of them bought faster cars and drove them on the Autobahn - holy f@ck!

I was just looking at our schedule for calling people out on their BS and I thought I was on for today. Was there a revision? I know I missed that update in June and I still feel silly about it.

+1! and the car has only 25 miles on it! Thing is, would you still buy a brand new car, if you know that someone did 140mph in it? The salesman should be fired, to say the least.

I never said the m3 was light. For the record, my car weighed in at 3500 lbs when it was corner balanced. I don't think id get a sense of satisfaction passing cars all day in an awd car full of computer assisted corrections. I'm glad it satisfies you. Just means you bought the right car for you. I take pride in knowing I did most of the work myself even if I'm the slowest in the group.

I would. It's a car. It's made for that. I test drove the shit out of my car on the test drive.
