I'm almost at the 2 week mark with no order #! Wish they would speed it up since I bought two M's

why does it take so long for you to get a production number? I got mines 3 days after I placed my order/deposit.

I think it has to do with each dealer's allotment numbers. I had to wait over a month to get mine.

My '13 E92 M3 has just been delivered to my dealer, pickup is Saturday... after waiting all these months this is such a sigh of relief!!!

I still have 4 weeks until the Euro Delivery driving tease, and then another 6+ weeks for re-delivery.

Hi Everyone! After nearly a 10-year break from BMW, I'm back.

On or about 7/22/12, I ordered my 2013 M3 Coupe at Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo, CA, and on 7/24/12, production started on the car. By 8/6/12, the car was finished and currently, the vehicle status is 190 and based on the other posts here, the car is on a train heading towards its port of exit. The car can't get here any faster for me, but in the meantime, its great to know I have others with whom I can commiserate.

I received my production number from Advantage BMW, Houston on August 6th, 2012. The dealer already had a modifiable order in the system. I haven't received a production date yet, but was told that it takes 45 days from the time the order is placed to the time it is delivered. Expecting delivery on Sept. 15th.

Now the hard part.... not the waiting, I can deal with that. The hard part is making sure that I get the same trade in value for my existing car (2011 Audi S5 - bought August 15th, 2010). Dealer says that they will guarantee the trade value till August 31st, but will have to reevaluate on Sept. 1st, that is when the new trade in book comes out. What have been your experiences with these situations? I know the S5 has very similar resale value as an M3... they aren't dropping in price over time as much as other cars.

I originally went out to order the car in May, so it's been about 4 months of torture coming to an end

Talk about torture. I sold my primary car back in December in anticipation of getting an end of the breed '12 in May. Then as I was getting ready to place my ED order, I heard the 13's were going to be produced, so I shifted my time frame to September. By the time the car gets back to the US, it will be like 11 months of anticipation...... I'm just trying to focus on the fact that in less than 4 weeks I'll get to experience ED and drive my car for a few days....

The therapy continues......

guessing we'll be on the same boat... mine was 190 as of 8/9 and headed to Seattle/BMW NW(West Coast). Keep me posted if if/when you find out what ship you're on!

Thanks a lot! I placed the order on June 13 but didn't actually get a production number until June 28 because of the transition to MY13. All in all not too bad though.
