G37 Pricing Released!

Here it is:

Infiniti G37 Coupe (5-speed auto): $34,250
Infintit G37 Coupe Journey (5-speed auto): $35,000
Infiniti G37 Coupe Sport 6MT (6-speed manual): $35,550

Options:

Moonroof: $1,000
Premium Package: $3,200
Sport Package: $1,850
Navigation Package: $2,200
Technology Package: $1,150
Performance Tire & Wheel Package: $650
Rear Spoiler: $550
4-Wheel Active Steer package: $1,300
Wood interior trim: $450

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/01/p...art-at-34-250/

Enjoy!

for what I want on it, im looking at 42,800 where a similar equiped 335i would be around 48,XXX. Around a 6K difference

Factor in the maintainence program, better gas milage, and the fact that the 335i has been out for a year and will not be selling at MSRP......we are looking at around a 2-3K difference!

Much rather get a 335i

Thoughts?

From 6k to 2-3k???
You think you can get $3-4000 off the MSRP on e92??? I don't think so.

Yes, the mantenance program, mileage, feel of the BMW, probably similar performance, and NO FUEL PUMP issues with the Infiniti...

Park them side by side. Ears open? Slam the BMW's door. Slam the Infinitis door. Case closed for me.

sounds like that's not enough of a price gap between the two for me

although you'd probably be surprised how many people looking for an infiniti probably won't even stop by the BMW dealer to look.

That is better for people like us --> less BMWs on the road

dr325i,

You know what I'm about to say, right? ...but no PROcede for the G37. Seriously though, the '07 G35 and the '08 G37 are phenomenal bangs for your buck...probably the best (bang for your buck) in their class, but a $1,400 PROcede puts the 335i (although more money to begin with) in a whole new class at least in regards to speed performance...not to mention the BMW 335i is just a better overall vehicle than the Infiniti in stock form.

I'm not sure how that's "better" for us

we're not in some rare exotic car, it's a 3 series

if seeing 12 on the way to the store rather than 14 makes you feel better about yourself

My comment was directed toward dr325i (he knows why...we have a history of friendly, but interesting discussions ), not YOU, "Mr. Obnoxious."

...edited my post to reflect that.

factor in the better resale for the 3 and that price gap will be even less. Then again, we're comparing G37's MSRP to a discounted 335. Eh I dont really care. If people like the Infiniti's styling and performance than go for it. For me, Im happy driving the BMW.

I just came back from g35driver.com

They are surprised of the higher-than-expected prices. So now they are trying to compare the G37 with a 335 based on options and price. They'll do anything to reassure themselves that the G37 is a better value without taking anything else into account like better gas mileage for the 335, easy to mod, free maintenance program etc.

Which cars really do have better resale value?

Ive heard that the g35s are better than the 3 series in resale value and visa versa......so I dont know which to believe and I can't find a report that compares them

Hey Shiv....I mean sflgator, I know what you're saying and...I believe you.
But, for $7k (with Procede) in my pocket, and no fuel pump headache, 1/2 a second slower time would not take me to BMW...assuming I liked the g37.

Anyway, I still think that the 335 is probably the best combo of feel and performance out there...

after 3 years, one is probably at 60% and other at 58%...which for me is pretty much the same... I think the resale value is similar. The question is -- which one can you afford after the warranty expires???

Honestly, the free maintenance is not really a whole lot. You get a few free oil changes and a set of brakes and rotors. The G37 is high, but I do think it will be more of a success than the 335i due to less maintenance overall and a cheaper price.

if you have to actually pay for a "major" service it can be over $1000

they don't happen that often, but if you add up the cost of the "free" services it's a few grand

Yep, resale value is really close on the G's and 3's.. In fact, edmunds.com shows the G's losing slightly less value than the 3-series.

Much rather get a 335i

i think you guys are dignifying G37 too much by having "worry" threads like this. This tells me G37 is pretty close, maybe not better, but pretty darn close.

In any case, the G WILL be selling at MSRP, and the BMW will not be discounted any time soon. The other thing is 335 does not have an equivalent to some of G37's features which kind of voids the price difference argument.

My G35 averages 22 mpg's. The G37 is claimed to get better gas mileage, so you're not comparing a Hummer to 335

They're both nice cars, i just hope more people will LOVE the G37 so demand on 335 goes down so i can get a better deal AND see less cars like mine in my town. all i can say is i wish i can afford both cars together. I think the infiniti guys would have it really down if they can shave off 200+ lbs from the G

as the car is under warranty 335 has advantage. You know you save $50 on oil change, and like 1000 on brakes. The G will have the advantage once the car is 5+ years.

I still expect the G to have some problems on its first year tho, maybe problems equivalent to screwey moonroof, or fuel pump, etc.
