Looks like I have to send my Mossberg 930 in. It's been misfiring like crazy. 2-3 shells on each round of trap. I first thought it was my Estate ammo, but it still does the same thing with Federal, Winchester and Remington. And now a new problem - trigger clicks but the hammer does not drop.

Read a bunch of forums and everyone is saying - gun issue caused by excessive oil and gunk build up. A little far fetched for a new gun, but I decided to take the trigger assembly and bolt carrier group apart and see wtf.

I'm not a gunsmith by any means, but holy crap. That shit looks jacked! Just emailed pictures Mossberg support to see what they say.

Off-center hammer wear.

Slide shock absorber (not sure what exact name is)

Firing pin safety (again, not sure what its called and can't find a shop manual anywhere)

Just decided to give Gander mountain a look for ammo. Holy shit they're expensive. $34.99 for Winchester FMJ/50? That's more than my gun range. Walmart only.

F2F twice in 50 rounds. This is frustrating. It can't be just my thumb hitting the slide.

Spoke to them. Tech is left-handed and he couldn't get it to replicate. They want me to let someone else shoot it and me try left handed to see if it's my thumb.

Wow must have been a bad apple. Should have been caught by QC.

I myself just cleaned mine and looked much better than that.

Note to self about over oiling.

Let us know how yours goes.

Most recent shot of mine (using the butt-saddle since it was free until I order a Mesa Side Saddle):

That looks nice! I am buying a 2 months old Remington 1100 Sporting from a friend because he bought Beretta Silver Pigeon (damn, what a gun!), so I will be converting this 930 into a "home defense"/"tacticool" gun, so will be doing pretty much the same thing you did.... as soon as I get it fixed.

I'm interested how Mossberg will respond for future reference.
The one think I'm HATING is this cheap coating. After trying 2 other positions of the barrel clamp, the barrel is SUPER marred up

Will re-coat everything down the line.
Guess that's one way they kept their cost down lol

I just bought an entire reloading set up from a guy who wanted to dump it. Dillion 550 with all the fixins. Can't wait to get it and start learning how to load!

That stinks. Haven't shot mine yet.

That's messed up. Looks like someone was trying to gunsmith on that thing that shouldn't be. Hope they take care of it quick!

Thank you! It is no longer in the family, unfortunately. I liked that pistol quite a bit. Never had a single malfunction or any other type of issue with it.

Post up a pic man.

No word from Mossberg. Emailed them on Wednesday. Will call them monday.
I did do 4 rounds of trap yesterday. Shotgun performed flawlessly.

A friend got me a shooting vest for my bday. I look extremely pro in it and it seems to give me +3 accuracy I shot 20-18-21-19. My best day yet.

And the indoor range is on my way home, sooo i had to go use some of that ammo that was sitting in my car for a week now...

7 yards

12 yards

A knife in the gun thread? WTF? Unless there's a benchmade gun I am unaware of?

I've concluded that my thumb is the problem. My hands are slightly too big for the gun.

Ah, maybe it was you were looking at a Glock. I haven't really kept up with the thread.

I was looking at one, and I'm sure I'll pick one up in the near future.
