His press secretary says, "no specific reason...the president has a lot on his plate"
Yes Obummer has time for 189 fundraisers and 100 rounds of golf.... yet he can't find time to meet with his jobs council...... This loser doesn't get it! http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0712/78637.html |

One must set one's priorities mustn't one?
Just think, if he had minimized his fundraising activities or at least used a surrogate once in a while why, he might have actually accomplished something. Besides raising the misery index to new heights that is. Let's just get this over with, fast forward to the vote and let's see what Americans are really made of. |

How do you two expect a largely privately-structured 'Jobs Council' to function if those that attend could face significant consequences for affiliating with a presidential nominee a few months before the election? You think CEOs and high ranking economists are just hoping for a chance to dive into the mess of the upcoming election?
With the rate at which both sides are amplifying any allegation into a negative portrayal of the opposing nominee, what do you think the first thing Romney's campaign will do when they see Obama "working with" big business? It's supposed to be a bipartisan thing but obviously, given the toxic campaign atmosphere, it would be highly unwise for Obama to engage in talks which could so easily be spun against him. A pretty obvious notion and not one warranting a new thread, imo. Unless of course your goal is to sensationalize Obama in your preferred way... |

The excuses are never ending...
I expect the President to do the job he was elected to do and not let campaign politics impede on his primary responsibilities -- to serve the people. Not to mention, the opposition has already pounced on his well documented abilities of doing NOTHING. This is Obummer's jobs' council, he created it, he is in charge. This is just another fine example of his poor leadership abilities and the leftist who continue to blame someone else for his failings. |

I have worked in DC for my entire life, so trust me when I tell you, I know more about how DC works than some nit-wit kid from the leftcoast. And that's all I am going to say about it. You would be better served by keeping your trap shut about things you know nothing about.

Don't you realize that those of us who are democrat-leaning and who like Obama are never going to be swayed by your vitriol? Rather, you're causing the opposite effect, because whenever I think of a rational, reasonable, fiscal conservative free market type, I think of you and my feelings turn to hate. Obama created the council, he can do whatever the f-k he wants to do with it, it's not in the constitution. If you would just read a normal news article, you'd see that the business leaders don't want to meet with the council because of the election partisanship issues. Just chill out. |

Not once, no matter how much I disagree with someone, or how silly or irrational they are being, do I feel hatred towards them. People may be misguided, and may even attack me verbally, but I still don't use that word to describe my feelings towards them. I'm sorry, but if you start hating people because of what they say on an internet forum, perhaps you need to take a step back and ignore them. You have to understand that people will be armchair quarterbacks and talk on a website in a way which they would likely NEVER address someone in real life. The fact that they are more or less anonymous makes it so much easier to be a jackass. I agree with your first point, and maybe it's true and something bad has happened and he is venting his frustrations here. But is that a reason to hate an individual? I don't think so... I know, totally off topic, but I just found it particularly odd that you get "hateful" when you think of the OP...

Css,
What do you think about the Senate GOP not voting to bring tax breaks to small businesses that keep jobs here in the US? http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/19/politi...ked/index.html

Here's what it comes down to: the reason you keep starting new threads every 2 hours is because you're crying for acceptance, and you can't deal with anyone who doesn't accept your viewpoints. You should start a blog; that way, you can shovel all the shit you want, and nobody will criticize you. But THIS is a debate forum, and if you're the one starting the threads, be prepared for debate. |
