Ess / akrapovic tune question
When I got my 2011 e90 m3 I installed the Dinan software and a Dinan air intake. Not long after that I installed the akra evo exhaust system. I replaced that with the BMW OEM performance exhaust. I'm now thinking about putting my akra back on. During all this time I've read a lot of other akra exhaust people say they had an ess tune installed and it seems like it compliments the akra from what I've read. Can someone explain that to me and was getting the dinan software a mistake? I really only got that to take away the top speed governor and I didn't know at the time I would be getting the akra. I'm learning as I go here.

You definitely don't NEED the ESS tune. As long as the Dinan compensates for the Akra and doesn't have a CEL on due to no cats, I would stick with it.

Not required, the akra specific tune deals with the low end dip caused by the h and x pipe of the evo, but It would not be worth an extra 1.5k for a couple of hp down low.
Ask bmwlvr he has that specific combo...
