Houston Mod Shops

Wondering from all the Houston area M3 Crowd, and there are a lot of M3s in H-town due to oil money in the economy last decade what are some recommended shops to get stuff done? Are their comprehensive shops similar to an IND in the Southwest area? Thanks

A lot depends on what you are trying to get done. But I would definitely recommend M-World. He's a M driver and a great guy..............Phil

This is a good question. I'm moving down to Houston in the fall with my E46 so it would be cool to know where to go. Here in NY there's no shortage of indy shops so hopefully its not too much of a change being in Houston.

since you were not specific, and i want to know who the go-to guy is for huper optik film installation in houston, i will piggy back here to get more info.

but for your open ended question, it really depends on what you want to have done. everybody has their niche.

What is the best for tuning? Exhaust and pulley installs?

Any shops powder coat wheels?

If you're in the northside check out ///MPerformance. Nothing but high-end cars and full shop with performance, tuning, body shop, etc.

Another good place is my friend's shop CVT Designs (also in the Northside.) They do custom exhausts, wheels, and regular maintenance stuff.

Mayco Performance can now do AA Software...believe they are a dealer now. Not the best looking shop but the guys there are pretty smart and easy to work with. One is an instructor at TDE, NASA, and PDS.

EVS Motors in Bellaire gave me a killer deal on the full catless AA signature exhaust and their work is spotless so far. M-World has a pretty high rep on here, contacted Richard a couple of times and have never had any complaints.

Yea gotta give it too David at M Performance on the north side, they deal with very high end cars and are at a decent price. Got all my work done through him 😁

Yea I just had him do the body work on my car after it got sideswiped on the highway. Had to repaint almost the whole side of the car and he did a phenomenal job at a reasonable price.

Anyone have a recommendation for a custom shop that does interior work? I want to change out my platinum grey leather interior and have a dark grey or black one built.

the Huper Optik source would definitely be Ted at EVS Motors

alternatively if you want something more of a charcoal/black, Sonny at Xpert Tint and Alarm does F1 Pinnacle (which is what I have on my car)
