Does the BMC filter provide gains or losses?

I know this topic has probably been brought up before countless times but whatever. I see that the expected gains are about 10 ponies but then I've been hearing from people that they lose performance from replacing it with the stock and all so yeah.

not necessarily the BMC but just from those who replace their stock filters with aftermarket performance filters...

How could you lose power if aftermarket filters flow better?

That said power difference is minimal and you wont feel it..more induction noise though which I liked
