I called Turner about this mod and the diff bushings and they thought for a predominantly street driven car with limited track time, it wasn't worth it...very honest of them, but I like the preventative measures as well and the additional feedback in steering with minimal increase in NVH would be appealing to me (considering this is something you would experience every time you drive the car). Any one with feed back directly on just these mod would be great no matter how subjective it is. The motor/trans bushings which I know from experience makes for a miserable DD. Thanks all.

Gave my thoughts on post#30. I wouldn't do it on a DD that only sees a few track days a year. I have installed and driven many E8x and E9x chassis with solid subframe bushings, it's not for a street car, but that is just my opinion

I indeed read your post and thank you for the reiteration. Since I understand this feeling is subjective, I was just hoping I could get a few other/more opinions on the mod since there were others thinking it wouldn't be so bad. I appreciate the feedback and value your thoughts given your reputation and experience on the boards. I hope you understand.

Respectfully,
Vin

All the guys I did the solid subframe bushings for aren't on the forums so they can't give you any feedbacks here. However, I am sure many others have done it here and will be happy to comment.

As soon as my challenge x-pipe comes in, I will also have a shop install the diff and subframe bushings from turner and I will be able to report back. I have the delrin ones, not the full aluminum. I am hoping to have this done by mid July.

I have the turner solid delrin bushings on my IS and the rear end feels solid and planted and the road noise is very minimal if any, depends on your sensitivity tolerance.

Thank you. My previous DD was an Evo IX with track suspension (12kg F and 16Kg R spring rates) along with full engine mounts and rear suspension mounts. The car did not vibrate at all.

Cool, another previous Evo owner in the bay area! I had 2 Evos prior to the M3. I think you'd have to do a lot to an M3 to even approach the harshness of the Evo.

Even stock the Evo was a rough ride...but I found is pleasantly comfortable. I do not feel as connected as I did with the Evo, as the M is slightly too soft for my taste, hence the modifications I'm doing to it.

I replaced the rear differential bushing on my car and it's quite a bit of work. Space is limited and to be able to push the oem bushing out, you need to lower the diff and the subframe a bit.

Thanks, sounds like its not worth it as standalone update ( i allready have the m3 subframe bushings), maybe will wait to get subframe + diff changed out with delrin

Yes getting this done with other work requiring to lower the subframe makes sense.

Yeah, I totally know what you are feeling!

I changed from the stock suspension to KW V3s and it feels so much more connected now. The stock suspension is very comfort oriented and mutes the feeling.

YES! Expect it tonight on my original thread. I still need to snap a few pics of the bushings that came out, then I will write a full review of all the parts installed.
