First Time M3 Owner/Lover

Greetings everyone! I picked up a 2010 Alpine White w/ Fox Red interior about 2 months ago!! I love driving more every day - something I have never been able to say! Found the car used with 10k miles in mint condition at a Toyota dealer...a nurse traded it in for a Prius...

Hey - my gain right? I am coming from a 2012 VW Touareg. Loved that rig, no complaints, just decided it was time for some fun...

Anyways - a few pics are attached. The side profile shows tinted windows...that is photoshopped - I am still deciding on whether or not I want to tint and used this to show me what it would look like.

I am also into photography and the last pic was me making my car look even more badass

Nice Ride! Seems like you got a healthy one if a nurse drove it before trading it in, and for a Prius you might just assume she didn't rag on it!

BTW - I am getting the OEM black grille this Friday. Will get body color side markers after that. EVENTUALLY will get wheels - but being so new, everything is pretty much perfect to me as is!

Had BMW check the VIN before I bought it - all records look clean. Same week I bought it I took in to dealer for a general inspection and everything checked out perfectly - they told me I scored on my find. I was casually looking for this exact combo in perfect condition for probably 1.5 years...then I found it... and here I am!

Awesome car and awesome pics, I would not tint it unless I found a really good tint place and would not go for anything darker that 35-45 %

I have always been a tint guy, but now it just doesn't seem right for some reason. Plus I love looking in from the outside and seeing my beautiful Fox red chilling. So - I agree with you. I may just do a clear tint for the UV protection. I have a local place that does great work and does high-end cars regularly.

Nice find! Love that last pic, it really accentuates the aggressive lines beautifully. If you're on the fence about a tint, I'd recommend 50%. It's very clean, classy looking. 35% is sportier, adds a little more of an aggressive look. I personally wouldn't go any darker.

Thanks for the advice! If I do anything, it will not be anything past 50%. I am in no rush though, loving no tint...hmm, did I just get my answer?

I do like how cool the UV protection on tint keeps the interior of the car though. Night and Day difference on previous vehicles. Even if I stay 'no tint' I may still get a UV film.

Andy, welcome and great photos btw. I would highly recommend at minimum a UV tint. I liked it is much that I even did 80% on my windshield just to keep the interior cooler.

I was in a loaner car last week, 328i. Aside from the obvious differences, I really missed my tinted windows. The temp was in the 80's here. So I can only imagine how much a difference it would make for you in SoCal.

I was using a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon 35mm f/1.8 lens for all the pics.
