Just got smoked by a c63 amg!
Hey peeps,
Was driving down the dual carriageway when at the lights, a mercedes c class pulled up next to me, thinking it was a crappy 320d i decided to to give it the beans as he was egging me on too. Little did i know it was a c63 amg.......... ![]() I could not keep up with him, felt rather deflated. Now i need to know what mod can i do without spending an arm and a leg to make that merc eat my dust! All suggestions welcome.... |

Full bolt ons will beat a regular C63 quite easily but not sure about a C63 with performance pack. I only raced a buddies regular C63.
As far as what I had on my 08. Pulley, catless x-pipe, exhaust, air filter and Ecu tune.

FYI..my boy has this car and grabbed ~75HP and 90Ft-lbs of torque with just a tune..the car is a beast.

Was just making an assumption as if that was 550+ hp it would have completely left me but it didn't.

1) M3 is not for drag racing, maybe you bought the wrong car.
2) Don't race on the street! Not safe and huge ticket/ criminal charge if you get caught

C63 Tuned picks up roughly 50whp... A pretty sizeable gain as compared to what we get.
They are just all out torque monsters, but watching the M3 vs the C63 on Top Gear did it for me. The M3 is a much more well balanced car. No disputing the C63 is fast as hell. I have beat a couple in a straight line but don't think they were modded.

Firstly if it really was a 'crappy' diesel that pulled up why would you want to give it the beans, secondly after getting beaten why do you feel the need to compete with a C63 on a straight line.
So as a possible solution go get yourself a new car with a lot of low end torque and in automatic where you can just mash the throttle pedal, 2nd hand C63?
