Which would you get :)
So, the m3 lease is up in November...some decisions to make:
1.) M6 cab 2.) new 911 cab -- maybe the (s) -- depending on how I build it. 3.) 911 GTS cab (brand new, however old body style) All fantastic, I know...which would you choose, and why? |

New 911 hands down. Performance is simply amazing.

I test drove the new 991 C2S 2 weeks ago with the intention for it to replace my M3, but was wholly disappointed with the car. There is no way i am trading my E92 M3 for the 991 C2S even if they cost the same. In your case, since your M3 lease is up, it's probably ok to change for variety sake.

A 991 would be the top choice. M3 isnt even comparable to it...the 991 really is in another realm altogether. The next M3 will be lucky if it had performance like the 991 and considering it will be 3 years newer that's saying something. But then again, thats always the case (other makers trying to catch up to Porsche).
The GTS is an amazing car too and you will love that too. M6 looks terrible compared to any 911 and is a boat in comparison. Plus its quite overpriced. That sums it up pretty well. |

What is the exact criteria? Cabrio with price of $125k?
I assume since you are looking at verts, that all out track performance isn't your goal. I would add pre-owned 997.2 TT cab and possibly the AM Vantage roadster (used) to the list. If only considering the 3 options above. Then 991 S for sure. My buddy just grabbed a (new) 2012 GTS at a nice discount, however he feels like its old already next to the 991 S. Obviously a great car however.

I'd go with #2, if you're doing an S. If you're not doing an S, go with the GTS. I love the M6, but not the convertible. The coupe's where it's at for that car.

I vote 991 S. It's the first car I've driven since I got my E90 that I really loved. I'm putting in an order soon for delivery later this year.

The newer Carrera S vert will run 12.0-12.2@116-118 mph WITHOUT the Porsche Performance pack (which is an additional 30hp).
I like the new M6 and it's wicked fast (Inside line did 12.2@119) but i'm afraid they are just big/roomy sofa's compared to Porsche's. They are amazing performing machines, and light machines at that. People complain because the new 991 loaded is a 120-130k car but it's a significantly better car in every way by large margin (even compared to the GTS). I'm really impressed with the 991, it's a world class sports car and does a lot for what it puts on the table

I would say none of the above. Not a fan of those cars. Have you thought of a cheaper car or an SUV?
