Recommended? (Yes or No): No
Additional Comments:

I took my car in for an DSC CEL, my window trim paint flaking off and an oil change. From the moment I had my first follow up call, I received conflicting information. First my DME was dead. Then I found out it was being updated? I thought it was dead? Which one is it? I felt like I was being jerked around on my window trim issue too. Being told that it appeared I put boxes on my roof? WTH? Or perhaps someone did it when I wasn't looking? It wasn't until I complained big time that my SA said he will try to get it covered. Then he tells me its not easy to remove and replace and that if they ding or scratch my paint, then any damage they cause are MY issue? What kind of offer is that? Are you for real?

Then he tells me the cant finish the DME update and will have to complete it the following day. He then said they will need to drive it to check to see if the code comes back. I told him, NO ONE is to drive my car. That I will drive it and let them know. He said ok, that they would prefer to be the ones to test it, but whatever I wish. So today my car was supposed to be completed. I call my SA at 11am and left him a voice mail asking for a follow up on when I might be able to pick up my car. I got no return call. So at like 1230, I call back and hes still not available. So I ask the resp if she can at least tell me if my car is done yet? She checks and says the only thing we are waiting on is the window trim. That it has to be signed off? I told her, no, I passed on the window trim because it clearly sounded like they couldn't do it and to please just get my car ready. She puts me on hold and next thing I know, my SA picks up the phone.

Now hes telling me that he didn't call me back because he was waiting for his manager to sign off on eating the window trim repair. I told him, thanks but no thanks if they think I'm going to allow them to not be liable for any damage they cause doing the repair. He says fine and the car is ready.

So I go pick up my car. My SA is no where to be found (I'm not really looking for him either though). I get my car back and I notice it has 4 miles on it.

From start to finish, nothing went right. And to top things off, they didn't respect my wishes about no one driving my car.

Needless to say, I wont buy another car from them and I wont let them service my car again. I'm pretty bummed about it too because I really wanted it to work out.

Lesson learned.

EDIT:

I have since took my car to IRVINE BMW with positive results!!!

Region: California
Dealership Name: Irvine BMW
Sales or Service: Service
Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Jose F.
Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 5
Work Performed/Attempted: window trim paint coming off, push button paint coming off, seat creek, b pillar creeking
Recommended? (Yes or No): hell yes.
Additional Comments:

I finally got around to taking my car into another dealer. This time Irvine BMW. From start to finish, I had a great experience. I worked with Jose F. who was a very professional and nice guy to chat with. He seemed relaxed, calm and just overall willing to help.

I had him look at my shadowline trim paint that was coming off, my push button paint that chipped off, my front seat that was creaking, and a rattle in the b pillar area. He said NO problem and was shocked Crevier gave me a hard time about something that was clearly defective on a 10 month old car.

He took me to his desk and said if they have the parts in stock, they would try to get it all done same day. If not, they would order the parts and have them the following day.

I got a call at 2PM (dropped it off at 9am). And he told me my car was ready! They replaced all the shadowline trim, my push to start button and fixed both rattles/creaks. Plus the actually washed my car pretty good. No swirls, no water spots, no issues with the wash!

Overall, I felt they serviced me the way a dealer should. I will never go to Crevier again and from now one IRVINE BMW will have my business!

Thank you Irvine BMW! Job well done!

Additional Comments: Hands down the most competent and professional CA I've worked with through many a new car purchase. Even with Ryan on the West Coast and me across the country, everything went down without a hitch. Checa sorted everything out with the Florida DMV, all of the paperwork was accurate, and even though the timeframe from requesting a quote to delivery spanned almost six months, the experience exceeded even my expectations which were "up there". Well done Ryan/Checa/Steve Thomas BMW. I'm happy to rep for you with one of your license plate frames. You ARE that good!

That really is a compliment, first thing I do is rip the dealer frame off

Work Performed/Attempted: oil issues, other problems.

Additional Comments: Held my car for 7 days for checking an oil problem, roof rattle, and asked for a general checkup belts etc. Service rep never gave me a check-up call or status on anything over that whole time period. I called several times. never received an answer back, started to have concerns that they did something to my car and were trying to fix it. Regardless after i called the 7th day they said my car was ready. Nothing was wrong or out of the ordinary. The next day my car lit up, needed washer fluid, oil, and a new bulb for my headlight, and the service light came on requesting an annual service appointment.

Conclusion: Am now driving 20 min away to take my car to Ft. Lauderdale, even though I live 3 min away from Braman.
Yep, i had an issue with Braman West Palm which is 10 min from my house. Now I drive to Vista 40 min away. Vista is always a pleasure in every way.

Dealership Name: Budd's BMW
Sales or Service: both
Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Ian P.
Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 3
Work Performed/Attempted: sale & change tire, fix tint, minor stuff.
Recommended? (Yes or No): maybe
Additional Comments: I bought my m3 used from budd's. I heard stellar reviews, so I had appropriate expectations, and was left pretty much disappointed. Now it was a full individual car so it was pretty unique so my buying power was non existent. Price was still decent, but absolutely no room for negotiation, I'd suspect it would be much better with non M cars or other "normal' m3s etc. Now Ian was excellent until he made the sale. Now this is usually true for all car sales, but Budd's was promising to be different (they spend alot of time promoting their service, I got letters and emails claiming to be open door, contact any time, even Ian told me that but he was lying). I spent a week trying to hound him down cuz there was a few bits missing (the parts in the trunk, and a scratch on the window tint, both he promised he would help me with, but then disappeared once he got the check). To this day (4 months) he never got back to me, not once. I had to harass Daryl Budd who had his second in command sort me out (Reno) He is all stars, he got everything done ASAP and I was made whole. Daryl is a great guy, but he promotes perfect service which he just doesn't deliver on. Staff is always friendly, but tasks get lost or delayed in the beurocracy. I took my car in to get the summer tires put on because they failed to put them on for when I took delivery. The spare key didn't work and they had to order a new one as well. Now all of this should have been taken care of in their 360 degree check they promised they were gonna do before delivery, but they didn't. I suspect all they did was wash it, they had a week its not hard to fix these things. Anyway, when I got there it was all smiles and yes sir right away, I was told it would take no more than 1.5-2 hours. That turned into 4.5. They claimed that the key had to be reprogrammed and that took 3 hours and the tires took 2 cuz that they didn't know they had to put the tires on the same rims. EVEN THOUGH I specifically told them when I booked the appointment that i was going to use the same wheels and that they had them in storage waiting for me. Their lounge is small and right in the sun so its very hot. The only reason I'd go to Budd's again is if I lived in oakville and wanted Dinan parts (they're the only dealer in Canada). Instead I'd suggest going to Mississauga BMW or an independent one. I tested them out with just a refill of tires but they got me sorted in 10 minutes no charge and were really nice. Their lounge is huge and more comfortable, the overall place is just alot nicer (probably because they just renovated). I'm going to make mississauga my regular one and write up a review for you all once I have real work done there.

Crevier was an absolute circus before the takeover by Penske and it seems the circus continues. Thanks for the positive review on Irvine, I will try them next as Im getting tired of going all the way to Long beach for my service. They're solid but the distance/traffic is annoying when living in Irvine, was much better when I was in HB.

Additional Comments:

With more and more dealerships getting bad raps, I felt the need to give my 2c over the good experiences I've had at Calgary BMW. This was my first M3, second BMW purchased there from Woody Woo. Very transparent, honest, and fast. Replies to your emails overnight, on his days off, etc. I think I spent less than 10min doing the deal on my M3. Came in with invoice price, offered a percentage profit, he asked the manager, and that was it. He has always been very helpful.

The service guys are great too, and will even pricematch parts with US dealerships (plus shipping). They have always taken my concerns seriously (135i; clutch, HPFP and M3; break in transmission oil, etc.) and always treated me with respect. Can't ask for much more. +1 for Woody Woo and Calgary BMW (and Colin in parts department, Don Murphy in service).

Work Performed/Attempted: air intake piece f*ck up
Recommended? (Yes or No): NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS
Additional Comments:
-purchased car new April 2010 (but live 800 km away from any dealer)
-CEL light from first start up -service dept cleared code....blamed bad gas
-300km later.....CEL -erratic idle/stalling
-diagnosed as a cracked intake boot later in 2010 at Dilawri BMW in Regina Sask.....N55 was new engine, so no piece. Siliconed the piece until future service.

-June 15 2011...requested part be ordered from The BMW Store for service on July 15th
-July 14th, received a call saying the part was back-ordered!! And did we what to reschedule?!?! I'm 800km away!! I'm not cancelling.
July 15th, get to The BMW Store, voice my concern over the missing part. Andrea calls the Parts Dept and says that the part will be here Monday.....I am very skeptical at this point.
-July 29th, pick the car up. Andrea is not there and apparently no other SA is allowed to go over my invoice or even talk to me....I ask the cashier if the intake piece came in and was installed....."yes" was the reply. At this point I realise I should have forced the issue....but I didn't (lesson learnt)
-over the course of 4-5 weeks, I try to get Andrea to respond to my emails requesting an invoice....nothing.
-I get my sales advisor to contact the Sales Manager Koren.
-she sends me an invoice, but it's for a service on my M3 from 2010
-I ask for my wifes, and she says it's still open....pending an intake piece arriving from Germany. I am boiling at this point.
-they send me the part out of "good faith" so I can install it.

I question everything that went wrong, and there was lots I'm leaving out on this post, but the GM of the whole dealership blamed some family problems with Andrea that they had to handle, "we dropped the ball", her work wasn't evenly distributed, blah blah blah. He evens says he'll email me back within a few hours after looking in to the situation more......2 weeks later I email him to ask him where we are at and his response came across liket he was annoyed I asked him about it. I responded back that this nice thing about the whole situation is that I'll never set foot in his store ever again. He never responded

All I can say is the The BMW Store in Vancouver will never see another penny from myself. I'll never service any BMW there, and I'll never buy another car from them, nor recommend them to anyone.

Additional Comments: Worst ever, took forever to complete an oil change and the SA had a terrible attitude about it. Acted as if I was a major burden and he was doing me a favor. Isn't surprising I'm in an M3 and he's in a 328.

I believe in 2nd chances, so this time maybe 1 year later I had a foglight out in my e60 which was under warranty. This time, the SA (different guy) tried to charge me $140 for a diagnostic test stating figuring out how to replace the light could endanger the techs Forever lost my business.

Additional Comments: Faulty transmission on my 2008 M3. Said he would inspect/test drive to verify. Called back and said they would not service. When I returned, found that vehicle ahd not even been moved from where It had been last left. Not recommended. As for parts sales, they usually have most parts and items in stock, and have a very friendly and mostly knowledgeable parts department. Recommended.

Recommended? (Yes or No): No
Additional Comments: I will have to admit that this was the most interesting new car buying experience I have ever had. Everything went smoothly in the beginning (sort of). Nick def. knows and loves his cars but the problems started after the sale. First, I noticed that some basic things were missing from the car that I was promised: mats, full tank of gas, etc etc. Then I noticed the rear tow cover was missing... getting all of this stuff was amazingly painful. Then I got a call TWO WEEKS after I bought the car asking me to sign a form saying that I was okay that the car was punched 11 MONTHS AGO effectively shaving a year off of my warranty! How was this not disclosed to me in the beginning?! Needless to say, I did not sign the form and the deal was unwound -- what a waste of time for everyone.

Additional Comments: Went in once for my 2008 M3 when the power steering was acting up. They inspected the system, and I believe they flushed it for me. Problem solved. Recently, some brake fluid got on my secondary ABS pump sensor, which caused it to malfunction and go into limp mode. Replaced under warranty and in a timely manner.

Additional Comments: I did have to go in twice, but the second time I dealt with a service advisor with a name starting with an R, rather than one Hassam Salem. Hassam didn't really do anything, and I left without anything being done the first time, but the other advisor, R, I think Robert maybe? Asian guy. Anyways, he got my transmission replaced on my 2008. Little hassle, little fuss, wasn't exactly the most happy-go-lucky buttery personality guy, but was very straight to the point and got stuff done. Recommended.

Additional Comments: Axel was very helpful throughout the years. He knew I was looking for a car before (335i) but never got it from him (he couldn't get me the car). Knew I wanted a Z4, but couldn't get it at the price I wanted (no one could, I did a lease transfer, only way to get the car I wanted, it was by luck too). And when he knew I was looking for a M3, he got me exactly what I wanted. I paid a little more than I would have wanted to (1k over invoice versus 600 over invoice), but nonetheless I was in an out rather easily. The reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 is that after the deal was done, although he was attentive, he wasn't [i]as[/] attentive as prior to closing the deal. Plus I don't like it when a CA has to keep going to a manager to ask if a price is ok... Great CA nonetheless.

Recommended? (Yes or No): Sales Yes, Service No.
Additional Comments: Despite the car having just come out and dealers marking the vehicle up, I got MSPR on the 2008 M3 through Mrs. Kim. Everyone else wanted 5k above MSRP at the time, so I took it. Was not hard to deal with, recommended. Dealt with Eric Lopez/Hernandez for service, and he blatantly lied to me. Said that the shop took apart my transmission and inspected all the synchros individually for problems, and found no faults with it. Since we know that these transmissions are sealed and returned to BMW unopened in the event of a malfunction, clearly he was lying. Stay away for service.

Additional Comments: he gave me the best possible lease numbers out of ANYONE (STBMW included). However, the MSRP on their M3 was just too high for me (near 85k) so even with the great deal the $ wasn't worth it for me over the E93 M3 I did get (it had options I didn't care for, like smartphone and stuff). But the CA was very informative and quick in responding. I will definitely try to deal with him again in the future

Additional Comments: While on a US road trip last summer with my then new Z4 35i I experienced a flat on my rear driver site wheel. The flat was due to a crack on my wheel. I was told by this dealership: The US and Canadian Warranty are not the same (this turned out later not to be true) and I only have two options open to me, 1) Be towed to the nearest Canadian dealership by road side assistance or 2) Order a new wheel and have them ship the old one to Canada for warranty claims.

I opted to order a new wheel. Once the dealership received the new wheel (BMW Style 296) they said, sorry we don't change wheels this is done at the tire shop. So I followed the Parts Manager to the tire shop. He introduced me and then promptly left. The shop people there went to work on my old wheel using tire irons and actually damaged my wheel (BMW Canada later declared the wheel bend). While in this tire shop I asked all other wheels to be checked for cracks, this was done and the passenger rear wheel was also found having 2 hairline cracks. I decided to drive home very carefully (3000 KM) with the two hairline cracks.

All this dealership did for me is a) put air in my tires. b) order a new wheel. and c) gave me wrong information about the BMW warranty.

If you live near this dealership avoid it like the plague
The final "Resting Place" of the wheel that I had to drag all the way home in my then 2 seater now a $700- Garden Hose Holder can be seen below, keeping my winter cover company.

I still cannot understand how an organization like BMW AG in Germany permits a Dealership to sell BMW's and not have tire removal and installation service at there facilities. In my book, BMW IDAHO FALLS took me to a tire shop to install a brand new wheel then that tire shop bend my cracked wheel. Then telling me leis that BMW warranty in the US and Canada are not the same ... I drag this wheel all the way back to Canada in a 2 seater sports car then BMW Canada tells me the wheel is bend ... of course it is when the tire shop removed the RFT with 2 tire irons leaving 2 deep gauge marks behind of course it is bend what else does one expect. Now if that is not screwing a customer over I don't know what is.

Mike Hood has been great to work with also. He made sure everything was fixed and checked as requested. Doesn't BS you about things you might need on your car (i.e. sludge cleaner). You are offered a beverage and wait in one of several lounges. Appears overstaffed, but that is nice! They introduce you to your tech, and you can request him again for future services. Sales was a breeze. None of the typical nonsense. I sold my porsche to come to this dealership! Overall, good prices, fair treatment and a "ritz carlton" experience. Recommended? (Yes or No): Yes
Additional Comments: Brian Cano was very accomodating to my requests and was willing to work with me on price. His communication was excellent over phone and e-mail throughout the entire ordering process. The other members of the sales team that I dealt with were also knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. These associates included Michael Corssen (operations manager) and Amanda Tully (business manager). Additionally, on delivery day when a small handprint was seen on a leather seat and some surface scratches were found on one of the Performance grills, they immediately requested the detailing team to attempt to fix the issues, which they succeeded in. While I did remind them about it several times just for my own sanity, the car was delivered without the front plate installed and without a Rallye badge (as requested). A very good experience overall and I would definitely buy from them again!

Work Performed/Attempted: Oil service, service engine light on
Recommended? (Yes or No): No
Additional Comments: Brought in car for oil service and to get a service engine light diagnosed. Was quoted $400.00 for just an oil change. When I asked why other dealers do the same service for under $200 he said that they must have had a promo or something, complete BS. The fuel pump and fuel pump sensor were replaced to remedy the service engine prob. Three days after getting the car back it stalled on the highway with my 8 yr old in back seat when I was doing 60+ mph. Had to get a tow to dealer at my own expense. Dealer said that all the coils misfired and caused the stall. They were replaced. When I finally read the work order it plainly said that there was an empty gas tank code. What it didn't say was that it ran out of gas because of the botched fuel pump install that caused the fuel guage to give a faulty reading. On my final visit they ran out of loaner cars even though I made an appointment that day specifically because they said they would have loaners. I got a Hertz Mazda that I had to pay insurance for. When they replaced the the fuel pump for the second time they charged me for a half a tank of fuel because they said they had to top of tank to check fuel sensor. I filled the tank up the night before I dropped it off. They did not give a receipt for the fuel they supposedly put in the car.

(Edit): The car went in for a fourth time because the original problem presented itself again, service engine light back on for emissions problem. They replaced fuel pump control unit. Total cost of repairs to date, over $3000.00 for an emissions diagnosis and repair.

Here's my review on Dealerrater.com

Quote:
I had an absolutely wonderful and fantastic experience purchasing a car from Perillo BMW. I just took delivery of a brand new 2013 Alpine White M3, one of the last naturally aspirated V-8 M3's to ever be made.

Originally, I had walked in off the street since I was in the preliminary stages of purchasing a car and I wanted to compare the Audi's (who's dealership was across the street) with the BMW. Initially, I was shopping for a sports sedan so I was comparing a 2013 BMW 335ix to Audi's A4/S4. Frank assisted from me since day one and took the time to show me their inventory and emailed me all the information I had asked for while we were there.

Fast forward a couple months, and I came to the conclusion that I wanted to purchase/lease and 2013 M3. The only problem was that it was now May 2013 and BMW was set to end production within two months. Finding an allocation (and not get price gouged for it) proved to be quite difficult. Even though Perillo had no allocations left, Frank and his finance manager was able to to secure me an allocation so that I could order my car to MY specifications. Working with Frank was quite flawless and he was able to attend to all my questions and concerns. With Frank's help, I was able to secure an allocation for a new M3 to be built specifically for me, he was able to take advantage of a $1500 BMW incentive, and he assisted with my trade-in and financing. All of this was handled via email and was quite seamless, I really only had to go into the dealer in person when I wanted to see something in person.

When it was time to take delivery, Frank pretty much gave me as much up-to-date information as possible. I was even able to take delivery the day the car arrived at the dealer. Delivery date was pretty much as close to "sign then drive" as you can get. Other than a little wait (since there was only one finance manager on duty at the time). Delivery was smooth and everything that was arranged via email was as is when it came time to signing....no games, no gimmicks, no funny business.

As far as the purchasing process is concerned, I can't give a higher recommendation for Frank Billman. Without his assistance, I wouldn't have the car of my dreams.
Here is Frank "photobombing" while my wife was trying to snap a pic:

Alabama, Birmingham, Tom Williams BMW

Alabama, Birmingham
Tom Williams BMW

One of the most horrible dealerships I have been to! They overcharge for repairs, my seatbelt extenders cost me $500 to repair ( I should have done a DIY)
Then I wanted to look at an M3 and the Sales rep made me wait 2 hours (by my watch) to give me a quote for my trade in. They never provide any loaner cars because they claim they are very busy. Service is equally horrible. After 3 days of leaving my car in there, they were not able to take a look at it. Then on the 5th day they told me it would cost $5000 to repair my axle because it was bent. I dont know how it could get bent. And said a lot of parts were rusted so they needed to be replaced and were not covered under CPO! Contacted BMW of N.A and did not get much of a response. My friends have had a similar experience. They are a public company (Sonic Automotive dealer) and there is no drive to sell or excel in customer care. As compared to Columbia, MO where JOE MACHENS BMW manager would at least listen to me and try to accommodate me. And I baby my cars! My Cars are hand waxed every other weekend. I am trying to avoid buying an M3 while in Birmingham, Alabama!

Kuni BMW - Buyers Beware

Region: Oregon
Dealership Name: Kuni BMW
Sales or Service: Sales
Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Steve Cho
Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 2
Work Performed/Attempted: N/A
Recommended? (Yes or No): No
Additional Comments: Assisted a family member on checking one of their vehicles they had on the lot the other day. The SA named above was kind enough for us to test drive the car while he waited in his office however we ended up walking away since they were not willing to deal. Came home to an email from Steve asking for feedback so I gave it to him with comparing other dealerships that are willing to deal and received the following response:

"I think we are living in two different world.

You expect our car selling price should be close to invoice . Huh?

Let's stop at this point .

You don't have any idea what you are talking about.

This is not a non profit organization "

Did you get a 3rd one? I remember you got sold your red one for another. But I thought that was some time ago? Is this a late update?

Btw, I drove by them today. I threw a nice rev at some sales people that were out front. With my Megan exhaust and test pipes I hope they enjoyed the sound as much as I do!

Jimmy, why does the parts department guy doesn't even know your name. I stopped by last July to purchase a quart of oil before heading out to Santa Ynez Valley for some wine tasting; the guy behind the counter didn't even recognized your name.
