Long Distance Relationship Yes/No

Has anyone here had this experience? If so, how far away and how did/is the relationship?

Any advice or things to watch out for?

i havent seen my girlfriend in a month because shes studying for mcat

I think if you are for it and she is as well, go for it. Technology is cool now and you can webchat and stuff, although its not the same. How long would you guys go without seeing each other, and at what distance? Is this temporary or forever?

stay away from long distance relationships.

within a week she'll have your friend's dick in or around her mouth.

@Litos lol.

I live in Sacramento and she lives in San Francisco. W/ no traffic and "speeding" she is 1hr 15 min away. Average takes 2.5 hours with traffic to drive 103 miles one way counting toll traffic. We talk and text all the time. Try to see each other 1-3 times a week. Possible not to see her for two weeks at a time.

She has also driven up to visit me twice in the month's time I have known her.

Something tells me I won't have to do any stalking. It would most likely be the other way around haha.

Knowing her a month is not a relationship.

Survivable distance is correlated with the strength of your relationship.

Best bet is stay friends until one of you can move.

Its the only way it would work.

I've done it. All depends on the people involved. It's not ideal but it can work.

It's awful. Don't do it. Of my 6 years married I have been gone for over 3 years of it. My marriage is terrible now. Everyone is different, but we grew apart for sure, and now there is nothing left; take that as you will.

My good friend has been in a five year relationship, where the latter 3 years were long distance (seperate countries). They're now considering marriage and just reunited.

It can work out, but really hard to do it. I know I absolutely cannot do it; distance does not make my heart fonder.

Had a long distance relationship for 5 years (700 km distance). It has good and bad sides (she didn't even have internet so it was only phonecalls/snail mail and so on). Sometimes it was damn hard. But I trusted her and she trusted me.

After 5 years we moved together. After the next 4 years we got married. We are married for a year now.

depends on the people and how easily travelling to each other is.

I did it with my gf. we've been together for a year (no longer long distance) we did the long distance thing for 9months (across the atlantic). we're still together

MY friend however did it for 3 years, and it just ended.. but mainly because she decided to move even FURTHER from him... :/

a friend of mine was with his girlfriend for 3 years long distance. (in which he cheated) but when she returned they lasted together 3 months..

the thing is how well you know her. long distance is not hard, a few phone calls here and there, then when you meet its all good because you havent seen each other for a long time.. the true test is when you are eventually together all the time and there is a chance to not like it.. so why invest? its a risk, take it or leave it..

Hum....say this costs you $500 in phone bills?
How about you give me $400 i take you out back kick you square in the nuts and call it even!

Take it from me DON'T FRACKING DO THIS STUPID SHIT!

What are you some fracked up Asian guys who watches Anime and bakes brownies and giggles! And don't even tell me you rock skinny jeans because then that kick in the junk will cost you $450!

Don't do it! I don't care if you are some skinny jean wearing cupcake baking nutter!

Pussy grows on trees! They are all the same! What make them better from one another is how kinky they are and if they are bi or not. And even that's not that rare anymore!

Dating a girl long distance makes you do dumb shit...like forgoing kinky sex with bisexual kinky women! Or worse! Getting married to a woman you don't even know!

Now go make me some peanut butter cupcakes!

Ive done it. Back in 2008. We were 2,000 miles apart. I was willing to relocate so I did and it went well.

"it went well" sounds a lot like "it was ok, but it didn't last"......
