ughh i gotta wait 8-10 days for my authenticator to come in the mail... apparently its not supported for the BB (torch 2)... i have a feeling ill be hacked by then =\ u get 2 roll backs per year so hopefully ill be okie till then

Made it to Act I hell last night on my DH. Pretty significant increase in difficulty of elite/champ packs. Gonna need to re-evaluate my gear before I get too far in I think, or I'll probably spend a lot of time dying

Yea they are no joke. You can't just stand still and "pew pew" them down. There is much more kiting and tatics involved, you don't necessarily need better gear. Some perk combos suck! Aything with Jailer/Waller + Fire chains will whoop your ass! I had a pack last night that was all 3 of those, basically locked me down and had his way.

I was mentioning to my friend last night that the crap gear that drops in NM act 1 would be considered godly in D2 (non LOD).

My take so far based on my limited play:
It's sad that there's no class specific weapon bonuses like before, and wizards are running around with axes and swords

just to get the highest DPS possible.

Cool downs are just plain stupid

Waiting for a TP to pop is stupid. The fact that you can't pop on prior to a mob /boss is stupid

Waiting for something to ID is stupid.

I like the fact that you can change skills without redoing the character

I like the shared stash, makes shit much easier

Thank god we don't lose gold on deaths haha, since the entire game is based on gold atm.

I always explore everything, especially since I started Inferno. There is better chance of finding good loot with trash/elite mobs than there is with bosses. I found myself rushing though NM and Hell, just to be too low of a level to start the next difficulty.

I found a rediculous farm spot in Act 1 which I been doing non stop to make some quick gold and get some gear before I do Act 2. The spot guarentees 2 Epic bosses, 1 yellow treasure chest, 1 treasure goblin, and multiple blue packs. Best part is, you respawn at the "checkpoint" right near the entrance.

My Wizard is at 28K DPS, 30K life, and ~300 all resistances. I read that those stats are plenty good in Act 2, however, I'm just making too much gold doing this run. Only thing pissing me off is the 10 item limit on the AH

Must be nice for those stats to be plenty for wizards. I was so stupid going barb. I know my DPS is lacking, just can't find a good weap but these are my stats and I get DESTROYED in Act2 by rares/champs:

7k DPS, 50k life, 8.6k armor, ~725 all resistances. Basically around 75% damage reduction and I can't survive the damage from most champ/rare packs.

I haven't been on since the weekend, but I hope to finish leveling that wizard up to 60 and start farming on that. Wouldn't mind hearing about that spot you mentioned in act1 sometime.

Really? I found it no different than any other level. Granted Hell difficulty is much harder to kill mobs which makes exp somewhat slower, but it does prepare you a little for Inferno. Act 3/4 Hell was the first time in the game I found myself kiting, now that's all I do in Inferno.

Yea ranged has an unfair advantage in Inferno. Don't worry though, they are fixing many of Inferno's issues in patch 1.0.3, which is comming out in a few weeks. They are addressing the spike damage in Act 2+, making it more linear like Act 1. Also item stats are being fixed and drop rates adjusted.

I'll show you that spot tonight! Luong (Jellie) and I did a few runs the other night. Our very 1st run included:
- 2 Rare bosses
- 1 Magic boss
- 1 Treasure goblin
- 1 Epic "replenishing" chest

I found multiple yellow and blue items and x1 Legendary shield in only one run. Only bad part is, not all the yellows are level 60-62.

Would be pretty epic if it was indeed replenishing.

What legendary shield was it? I'm trying to find an affordable stormshield, odds are I've just gotta wait til RMAH though since my IGG is low.

Oh geeze, I never took notice to the name. The shield was Ivory Tower I beleive, so-so stats mostly defensive. If it would have been a SS, I would have kept that for nostalgia. Funny how bad an item can be, but if it's Orange in color, they will overspend like no other.

Ivory Tower has the highest block % than any other shield in the game, I believe. So it's not BAD... Unless your stat roll was just absolute shit?
