My Review: OEM Exhaust Mod - ACM method

I had the ACM method (straight-through method) done to mine at a local shop in Socal a few months ago. Really clean and good work, if anyone is interested let me know I can refer you to him, pretty cheap too and he has experience with several of these. Honestly it's not as loud as I was hoping, nothing close to E-race or Meisterschaft, Gintani, etc... but it's good for now. Absolutely no drone though is a plus and inside the cabin isn't too different from stock but considerably louder outside. Some of my friends couldn't even tell the car was louder! High RPM is pretty much the same as stock.

Overall, this is a very good solution for the short term but I will need to go louder at some point.

Glad you like it, its a good intermediate exhaust. Great for someone using their M3 as a daily family car or for someone who just purchased a M3 and isn't ready to commit just get to the added volume/price of a good aftermarket exhaust.

Pair that up with a good X-pipe & HFC and I think you'll be surprised

it's def louder than a race exhaust, but the no drone is what makes it seem quieter (the noise is all outside). I still don't get the whole muffler mod (if not just to keep the heavy, bulky OEM muffler?).. Esp the ACM as it is essentially straight pipes. I have a gintani race and a set of muffler delete pipes I welded up that sounds killer. Saves a ton of weight and is essentially the "ACM mod".
