My 325 is running Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the track. Staggered, 225/45, 245/40-17.

Great looking track wheels. I also run the Nitto NT01 square setup on the track and really like it. They grip much better than a standard street tire and wear really well. Be careful the first session out on them when new, though--they tend to be a greasy, wobbly, awful mess until the mold release compound wears off. Once you have a couple of sessions on them, they're great.

Thanks for the tire heads up. I've been debating whether or not to heat cycle the Nitto's before the track day, I don't want to beat them up on city streets with gravel and stones, but I would like them to stick to the track since it will be my very first time out with the new (used) M. Hmmm. Guess I'll need to search around the track forum for a concensus.

BTW, thanks for all of the information and kind words!

Just drive around the streets for a few miles. I took a brand new set of Hankook RS-3's to the track yesterday. They had about 50 miles on them prior to reaching the track. The first session I took it easy and heated them up just a little. Came in and dropped the pressure to 36psi hot. Next session I took 2 warm up laps and then unleashed the beast. These tires stick like glue......I even got brave and turned the traction control off for 2 laps. You should be good ..............Phil

Thanks ///M Ryder. Don't think I'll be turning off the traction control on my first weekend in the new car, but looking forward to sticking like glue!

Excellent!

I've only been to Le Circuit once. First time I solo'd. I also passed an E92 M3 and E46 M3 in my lowly A4, but they were probably being driven by green drivers.

I just love the tight little reverse camber turn, right after the tunnel. I'd just turn in and pour on the throttle. Kissed that apex every time. Oh quattro...

Now there are tires on those rims! 275/35-18 Nitto NT01's. And the car arrives this coming Thursday.

Le Circuit was were I first soloed. I love that track, the turn 1 through 4 combination is a blast!
