Maybe you should give them a second chance? I'm not gonna get in a debate about who's better than who ect... There's been enough of those. I think EAS won the tuner shoot out with their VF kit at MFest. From the videos Tom has posted it looks like he's been beating the bloody hell out of his car with no issues.
eh, not going to ruin your thread with my issues from years ago. if it's running great for your car, then thats all that matters

I would beg to differ... they spent a lot more time in R&D before they released this kit than everyone else. There has probly been like 7 or 8 cars with their kit on this forum before they were ever released for sale. VF's own car was on the Gold Rush run across the country with no issues reported. Tom @ EAS has been beating the hell out of his car on the track every chance he gets. What more do you need?

If I were judging by your previous posts, you slightly biased to ESS? Thats ok your entitled to your own opinion. However, there can be more than 1 powerfull, reliable M3 supercharger kit on the market.

Nice review man.

The VF kit has been dead reliable for us...and I think everyone knows the abuse we put out cars through.

Yea I can see that. Let's hope for some more consumer reviews. I'm sure VAC, EAS and other vendors customers can vouch for the reliability. It's hardware and software. I can vouch for the hardware, it's simple, beefy and non intrusive. I installed it myself. So that leaves software? Something that no one can see? So there's only the drivability which is great. Mines a manual and VF's, EAS, and VAC all had DCT. As for the power, it's great.... And the vendors are proving it without consumers having to put roll cages, track tires and VBoxes in their cars. As I said, thier can be more than 1... There could be 10 a year from now you never know how fast the competition catches up.

I'm a vendor who sells 3 types of BMW connecting rods every day: SP, Carrillo, Arrow.

How does that work?

Mike,

Would you want to sell something that wasn't reliable? Even if you made some money, the headaches wouldn't be worth it right?

Beating the hell out of it pretty much sums it up.

Here's our M3 at LVSW and Cal Speedway just within the past few weeks.

If this is the case all the new fuel like 98 octane (BP Ultimate and Shell V-max) being cleaner and good for the engine is all bullsh$t. Just marketing statements and we pay a higher price for nothing.

Octane rating has little to do with being clean. It's the detergent additives that helps keep the intake valves clean IF fuel is being sprayed on the the intake valves. If there was a mechanic issue with the engine or poor fuel quality or lack of oil changes oil from the crankcase would basically bake onto the intake valves. That would lead to poor idle quality and other issues ect. If the rings were having too much blow by from too much boost you would have similar issues that's what I has trying to display here.

Direct injection I feel is a poor design, requires more maintaince. IE valve cleaning with walnut shells. So glad our S65 does not have it.
