Happened to me also fuel pump issues and control unit issue. Fixed after two tries.

Standard non-m cars are orange color. M3 has the white backlight cluster.

Update:The problem came back again. Took it in, dealer replaced spark plug and ignition coil on cylinder No.2. Hopefully this will solved the misfire problems.

Yeah. Also, I saw two other m3s were in for the same exact problems. I asked my SA, he told me it is still really common on 2011 and 2012 models.

Could be. So far this is the only time I've had problems with this car, despite occasionally top off power steering fluid. Not sure why but the power steering fluid often spill out a little bit for some weird reason.

I had the same failure just 2 weeks ago. Brought it back to the dealer for check up and found a throttle actuator failure. Dealer replaced it under warranty and it ran smooth again. Hope that helps.
