LUX Angel eyes

I just finished installing my new LUX angels eyes. Pretty straight forward. The only issue is the space to work in. Dear Lord, you need the hands of a 5 year old to fit.

I have included some pictures from before and after.

LUX, thanks for the quick service. I had the lights within a couple of days.

I have a question about our lights in general. My center lights never light up (center bulb towards the center). I'm just wondering if that is normal with aftermarket lights. I guess I never paid attention to it before.

Thanks..

The inner lights should turn on when turning. The left one lights up as you turn let, and the same for the right side.

I'm always torn as to if these are the brightest available. I think mine are bright, but then I'll see a random 3 series with (obviously) aftermarket angel eyes and they are BRIGHT from a good distance. Probably just the angle.

From a distance the Lux is very bright. You usually have to be looking at them from near-level, which is probably why the cars you see on the road look brighter. If you're standing a few feet in front of the car and looking at them from above, they're not as bright.

Although if you're seeing the LCI 3-series headlights which are configured differently (and not available on the M3), they're definitely brighter from all angles than any bulb-swap solution.

Correct, as long as your light switch is in the "A" position for adaptive headlights.

Ah, that may be it.

I'm assuming it is 6500. I bought the LUX H8 V3 and I was under the impression there is only one option. Do you think it is not bright enough?

Thanks...

Inside vs. Outside

Remember, this is sunny and hot San Antonio...

You've got the 6500's. Lux does sell a 5000K but they've been back-ordered for some time.

I didn't know they actually had 5000K as an option. I do like my LUX Angel Eyes but the angle makes a difference for sure. I'm confident they will look awesome when the sun goes down. I was not able to take the car out last night for some pictures.

Yea, I think they started making them so that they would match the car's factory HID headlight strength which is either 4500 or 5000k. I'm a fan of 6000K headlights though, so I bought some MTEC ones and threw them in. They match my 6500K Lux's perfectly.

Looks good. Wished they weren't so dim during the day. That's the reason I ditched mine.

Buy directly from LUX. Same price as everyone else, but they're the best and you are buying from the source.

Great customer service too!

Not on the m3. If you are a dwarf, just pop the plastic covers. Twist the old ones out and put the new ones in.

If you have normal hands, pop the plastic covers. Get the old bulbs out. Try to put the first side bulb in. Swear, cut your fingers up, swear, decide you are done. Finally get the bulb in. Take that experience, go to the other side and put it in under 5 minutes.
