What is this thing in my glove box?

It's some sort of port with a cover that has an eject button to take the cover off.

right now I'm using the y cable and I thought that was cool, ha. I must find this "snap in connector" : )

iPhone 4/4S dock connector...costs around $200+, which I'm also planning on getting. It enhances the reception of your iPhone using an external antenna on the roof!

So the Y cable I have right now plays music through the radio, and the bluetooth just works being in the car.

So the cradle helps with cell reception...but can I play music still through the radio?
