Anyone been to bimmerfest?

I'm halfway thinking about driving down to CA to attend. Is it worth the trip? How does it compare to MFest?
The drive down the coast would be nice and bimmerfest sounds like as good a reason as any for a roadtrip.

Bimmerfest is more of a show/ car event. You would receive a wide and most update information on many name brand products. You might as well get a good price offer on products and perhaps a better/ close relation with the vendors.

Mfest is more of a drive and fun event. It has more activities (party, track, long way drive). It last for 3 days as well. Bimmerfest is only an one day show.

I'm heading down to Bimmerfest for the first time. I preferred the CA location over the desert location of MFest, and I get the feeling that the demographics of Bimmerfest are more in keeping with the laid back, relaxing family atmosphere that I am looking for in a car "show".

Hope to see ya down there

Thanks everyone. Still thinking about driving down. Probably more for the road trip aspect than the car show, but any excuse is a good excuse.

^^Kinda of agree. Bimmerfest is really cool bc you get to see "TONS" of bmw's from every year and model, however its just a park and look. There are no activities going on like MFEST its more on the lines of walking around and looking at cars, which is cool however I personally enjoy seeing the products and participants put their cars to the test on the drag or the track so I can see how they stack up.

Flying down and renting a car is not a bad idea at all. I think the drive would make sense if you plan a vacation on the trip, stop at various places on the way and way back. That I could see being pretty cool
