What is this?

Besides the cabin rear lights, what exactly is this console? Looks to have some sort of sensors, or microphones in it. What is it exactly. Thank you.

Not 100% sure but in the e46 it was the motion sensor for the alarm. Chances are that it is the same.

OP, nothing wrong with the question. A lot of people posting here must live in their mother's basement, with nothing else to do. A give away is the 1000s of posts and the sarcastic/hateful comments that they try to pass off as "humor".

Being retired, I really have nothing to do, but still mostly post when I have something contructive to say or help. There are lots of good, knowledgeable posters here, and there are several that have a lot of time and missed the 3rd grade lesson on manners and need confirmation that they are cool. You have to be patient and wade through the posts until an answer comes through.
