US Base Price
OK, perhaps there was a poll long ago but with all the banter about the
"value" of the car, the competitors prices and the known prices of the M3 in many other countries as well as the recent magazine estimates (guesses?) it seemed like an appropriate time for a new poll. Just to clarify this poll is for the base price without desitination, gas guzzler tax (if any), sales tax and with NO OPTIONS, period. Simply US base price. P.S I know the options are not all equally sized but I specifically wanted a few more options in the $50k range. Also, don't freaking vote after we know the price!! |

$54k-57k.
Mark my words now and slap me later. US MSRP will not be over $60k. Not trying to be prophetic, but I firmly believe that.

$54-57k. I just can't see BMW raising the price in a huge way over the outgoing model (I think $10k is considered a "huge" jump in price). Plus I have a feeling that a lot of the equipment that's standard on the EU version(s) is going to be optional on the US version for 2 reasons:
a) it allows BMW to lower the base price and thus attract more possible customers. b) given how much the car costs in countries such as the UK (over $100k US if I'm not mistaken) I think it'd be hard for them to justify the price without a lot of nice standard equipment. I expect a well optioned model to be under $70k out the door. |

I don't know really, but I've seen the trend in M3's staring from the E30 till the E46. All MSRP prices have been about $5000.00 difference. Assuming the E92 will be about $54000.00 to $55,000 MSRP price range

I hope the base pricing is around 50-55k and I can't see how bmw justifies the 10k jump. However, there is a 10-12k jump from the 04' M5 to the 07' M5. I just spoke to my dealer and I told him if the new M3 exceeds my limit then move my deposit to 135i. I guess I will cross that bridge when it comes.
If that's the case I am willing to offer my spot to some people here for no financial gain, but gratuity is welcomed :-) (It's a pretty high spot in socal.) |

funny how the fluctuations in price speculations go. One week ill see people saying it will be 60K-65K and another 55K. Maybe we are just fooling ourselves into thinking it will be cheap?
Im already prepared and have the mindset that it will be 60K+ but i pray it will be $55Kish. |
