What he's referring to is the fact that if found at fault, the manufacturer pays your attorney's fees. Trust me, the attorney is worth it if you're busy. It worked out great in my case. If you are unemployed and have nothing to do but learn the law and deal with the frustration, then go for it.

You don't pay a lemon lawyer, the manufacturer does.

First they have to determine if its a true lemon case.. Lawyers may seek to get their fees from the manufactuerer in that case..however a lawyer is not going to do anything without getting paid something up front and that means OP would be paying and seeking re-imbursement after the fact

You must have never lemoned a car before then.

Or if you have, I suggest finding a new lawyer to work with.

And I am not debating this at all..but someone needs to pay a retainer upfront for the lawyer unless they handle the whole thing on contingency.which I am not sure of with lemons

Here in California lemon law cases are handled on contingency. No $ up front at all because the manufacturer pays the lawyer fee's. So most lawyers won't even take a lemon law case unless it is a slam dunk because they know if they lose they won't get paid. Simple.

I was under the wrong assumption that you understood the lemon lawyer a little. My apologies.

Now you know
