And I was sort of limited with AD08's selection.
Oh yeah, I see that now. My car looks slightly lower in the rear with the 285/30 and I have 255/35 fronts. I think 35 series would be the way to go in the rear to get a nice rake.

I too notice the different in ride comfort between the AD08 and PS2. The AD08 is laser sharp steering though. I actually got the to squeal today, the PS2 are pretty quiet.

285/35/18 is an ideal rear size, but availability is very limited. As others have experienced, 285/30/18 is the only way to go if you want the AD08. It's shorter than ideal, but still a fast setup

I purchased a square 18x10 setup through a private seller, so I still need to buy lug bolts. What sizes do I need?

I've never heard of using anything other than stock lug bolts...unless you had spacers. I currently have them mounted with stock bolts.

I'm sure Eddy will chime in.

Gotcha, thanks, I was hoping the originals would work. I'm a little worried that once I get to the track this weekend, I won't be able to get the 18mm spacers off that were required in the rear for my new Breyton wheels though. Any chance I'll still be able to fit an 18x10 with a 275/35 on over a spacer that big? Also, any recommended torque setting for whichever lugs I end up using?

I think that'll fit without rub. I have 18x10 with 285/30 and there's plenty of room assuming you're on stock suspension.

And torque to 88 ft-lbs.

I think the first priority would be to get those spacers off. Ask for help from others....usually guys with trailers!

Even if it doesn't rub, try to minimize using spacers and more importantly, longer lug bolts. The longer the working length of the bolt the more chances for fatigue and over torquing. The fastener dictates the torque, not the wheel. Check with your manufacturer for that.

An anti seized lubricated extended lug bolt can twist at 88ftlbs.

Yeah, I really want to get the spacers off, especially since I'm not sure the lugs holding on my Breytons are long enough for the Apex wheels.

Is 88 lb-ft the torque setting for the stock lugs? Sounds like that's what I'll be using to attach the Arc-8s if I can get the spacers off.

Don't the Breytons use "tuner" lug bolts?

88ft lbs is the stock lug bolt torque spec. I use 80 for my studs...there's more fastener to stretch.

Picked up a set of 9.5 / 10.5 matched with PSS 265/285s and the difference over my stock 18s is definitely noticeable. Ride is smoother (the first thing I noticed), response is better, and I can feel a slight increase in acceleration. With the EDC on comfort, these wheels ride smooth as silk while still responding immediately to even the slightest input.

I've always thought a great set of wheels and tires are the best investment to improve your car and this seems to be true yet again. How can you go wrong with something that will take every characteristic of your car and make it better? Money well spent.

I am running 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 Apex Arc-8 wheels with 265/35 and 285/35 NT05s setup. It feels pretty good after pulling the pins but does like to push and I got 8 days out of my tires.

If I purchased another two 18x10.5 wheels could I run a square setup with 275/35 or 285/35. I was thinking about switching to NT01s or R1s. Suggestions?

By the way I have e90 M3.
