Well if it was in the equivalent $ amount it may not be as appealing for the US guys (not that I think the OP is willing to ship nor would it make sense cost wise for the buyer) but for the UK market this price is reasonable I'd say!

it has not been a problem for me had car serviced with it on at bmw
also it canals be taken off and original put back on

Am I right in thinking a remap is needed or some sort of config to avoid the engine thinking there is an issue?

its still on the car was hoping buyer will come and view on car to see and listen to it to prove its 100% perfect
no remap required i have a engine light come on every 500 miles or so but have a reset tool that i use every time it comes on take 30 seconds to reset
if you remap your warranty is void

off topic , but it seems ashame not to remap to make use of the full potential of such a fine exhaust system

very true but if your car is under warranty then not worth it
iv had a bad experience with a similar tyoe thing on a bmw 325i

Its would..but will need to cut an inch or two off the rear section then re- weld

you don't need to re weld the tail pipes come off and can be trimmed from back end
