Super cool. I don't understand why there aren't other guys at some of the other manufacturers trying to replicate what Ryan and David are doing.

Ryan deserves all of the recognition for his great communication and customer service. I had the pleasure of working with ryan on one of his earliest European deliveries and I believe his first individual color order. It was an adventure and a great learning process. Over the months I really got know him like a friend. Working with people like Ryan really humanizes BMW as a company and the purchase process. That's exactly why Ryan deserves this award and all the success in the world. Ryan, here's to your continued success and achievement.

How about a comment from Mr. Amico himself ? If ever there was a perfect opportunity for ryan to make his first post on these forums, even if through Golffrr's account, this is it.

Personally, here around the GTA, the reps working at the dealerships reflect the company. I can walk into any BMW dealership and I always get greeted by someone and the people I talk to, they get enthusiastic about the cars they're trying to sell. I walk into a few Mercedes dealerships, I don't get that. I'm not saying the dealership is bad or no good, but when they see me who's in their mid-20's, they're not expecting much of anything; they're approaching someone who's a bit older.

It's not a coincidence that Apple Retail does the same thing - their customer support is one of, if not the best in the retail industry and Apple holds these things every once and awhile.

I'm not saying Audi and Mercedes should be following, maybe they like how their business is and they want to keep it that way.

But congrats to Ryan. Just from reading the forums and everyone who had a chance to work with him, I'm glad that his hard work is recognized.

There are legal implications -in the form of manufacturer to individual dealer contracts- that may not allow this method of sales to be possible/allowed.
