You're not alone Greg! My car turned 4 years old on the 15th, tough she only has roughly 14.5k miles on her!

Mine turned 4 on March 15th and just rolled past 22,500 miles.

From this point forward, I will be taking mine to Bavarian Motors in Phoenix for service and repairs. No red carpet, free loaners, service reps in suits and pretty cashier girls, but they have BMW trained techs and have always done a great job on my BMWs for the past 10 years at a very reasonable cost. They are also very flexible when it comes to working with, installing or troubleshooting any aftermarket components which the Dealer Service Centers don't typically like to deal with.

Mine is up in about 2 months!
It has ~52,500km (so that makes it about 33,000 miles)

Yeah at my dealership it seems like they only hire cute girls as cashiers and coffee-servers :P

It's awesome

Mine is up in November. I still only have 4900 miles. The car has never been in the rain which is why so few miles from an Oregonian. This is my 6th M car and this one is a keeper. I'm retired so I travel a lot and don't drive as much. The car, when it goes out, usually ends up at the track for its exercise. I'm not a big turbo fan so I doubt I'll get the new M3 when it comes out in a few years. Might be time for a 911S.

I hear you, mine has 39K miles in less than 2 years. I'll be out of warranty in 5 month (less than 2.5 years from purchase date). I bought the gold 6/100,000 extended warranty last month.

Would you mind telling me how much this gold plan is? Is it from BMW and if so, which dealership? I got to start shopping now, not that I foresee any issues with this car but I drive it harder than most. If its not at the track, it's on the trip back and forth from the track or it's sitting in the garage.

MY warranty expired yesterday and it's in the dealer today getting a last minute warranty service done to it.

4 years old and 30500 kilometers or 18951 miles on the clock and it's been a great car so far. I look forward to driving it for a while.

my warranty expired last week. four years old with 8,000 miles. I travel all the time, so I hardly drive the car. the battery died and the dealer first tried to get me to pay for it, but was nice enough to replace my battery and give me my last free oil change.
Happy b day to your car.

I hit 4 years in August...just had 30K service last week. Wondering if I should chance life without an extended warranty. I don't want to replace this bulletproof car...certainly not with a new 6 cyl. in a few years. Thoughts on the warranty?

There was a poll about this. Think I may have started that one. Its split about 50-50. I choose not to extend warranty or maintenance. I will save that money and do a lot of the wrenching myself and hope the engine and tranny stay together. Prayer meetings have been started.

My warranty ran out 3/29/12, and warranty is over 6/29/12 ('08 demo). Only 14K to date, the last year since a relocation to Dallas has seen way too few miles.....

My warranty ended on the 31st of March, got 70 000km on her with about 20 track days. Running strong and trouble free, hopefully stays that way.

mine is up at end of May, I'll have approximately 22k miles at that time. No issues so far, other than I just fucking curbed a wheel this weekend parking.
